@ProfAdebay @rezoundous I am on Pro (x20) but I am experiencing the same 🙂

Even after the usage limit bug fix, it is still draining quickly. The Pro plan used to be able to last me 1 week, now its like 3-4 days. Anyone facing the same issue?

@rezoundous probably your task is much bigger than your current subscription.. you should probably upgrade or buy more subscriptions. I used to have 3-4 Codex subscriptions due to my workflow.

@rezoundous I'm using Pro subscription. Though i have about 2- 3 plus subscriptions (2 have expired without usage, remain 1 and extra Plus sub)

@rezoundous ofc it will drain fast if you're running 5.5 xhigh mode all the time with a Plus subscription. Use low/Medium 5.4/5.3 I run 5.5High with Fast mode toggled ON and yet i didn't hit limit.

@clawdb0t @sama @thsottiaux it all depends on your kind of task. you should test each of them for your task... if 5.5low is giving great output for you stay on it and if it doesn't try Medium on other series

@clawdb0t @sama @thsottiaux plus avoid using xhigh or xhigh stay on 5.4/5.3 Medium reasoning use xhigh only if you need deep reasoning. xhigh will burn your limits quickly

If you're on ChatGPT Plus, don’t stay on GPT-5.5 for every task. Use GPT-5.3 or GPT-5.4 for everyday stuff, and reserve GPT-5.5 for difficult tasks or work that actually needs stronger reasoning...(planning GPT-5.5 is the flagship model, so it’s more expensive to run and can burn through your weekly usage limits faster. Using lighter models for routine coding helps your limit last longer while still giving solid performance.

Don’t tell me you’ve added another update, because I just recently downloaded Omarchy (7.7Gb), and I haven’t even installed it yet. I want to ship my project before I pivot to Omarchy. Currently using Pop!_OS and Fedora. Also, I’m not at home right now, so I’m not with my backup drive.

I used to dream of having a fully operational system installed in 15 minutes. Then the goal became 5 minutes. Now the goal is 1 minute. We're getting close!

@ProfAdebay @sama Yes it is very good! I use Codex&Claude together with cursor as IDE, Codex has been pretty good until it started behaving oddly since yesterday.

Codex in the last 3 days has been a nightmare. Hallucination after hallucination, writing so much unwanted code, creating things that are not at all intended, taking too much time and burning tokens unnecessarily. Especially /goal. @sama something is wrong. It burned 50% of my Pro plan tokens for the week in 1 night creating a PR of size 104k lines and when asked about the PR : it said it’s useless and cleared the whole PR and closed it.

you should buy one.

codex got noticeably nerfed past few days. ran several tasks for 20+ hours, none finished. switched to claude code, done in 30 min. something's off @thsottiaux

Setup @Tailscale on my @Hetzner_Online VPS 🙌 Installed @claudeai on VPS 🤞 All my sites run through @Cloudflare tunnels 😎 Got @TermiusHQ running locally on my Mac and iPhone ❤️ Locked all the ports 💪 Migrate 25GB of projects, websites, apps onto my VPS. All MD files there as well 🏋️‍♀️ Then went shopping with the wife while coding from my phone and I’m no coder. This means I can check daily tasks, fix minor bugs and constantly and work on our main Shopify site. I’m launching a daily deals section all automated with resend but I can build and tweak that without needing to be at my MacBook. And if someone says you should be present when shopping. Fuck that. I’m present when 99% around my family and kids.
