There’s a reason why @Jetour_SA has been voted car of the year 2026. I own some of the finest German, Japanese and British brands and love them for what they are (quality, reliability and bespoke) The Jetour T2 is proving to be just as good so far. The price point is unbelievable for what you get in return.

@9mmsmg In aesthetics that Ferrari is a nice generic electric car. But it's generic. I'm sure it has very impressive underpinnings but compare it to Plaid... The Tesla runs better at ⅐ of the price. And that's where the comparisons lie now with that car, with EV's and not supercars.

The vehicle at the top is a Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae Roadster. It's powered by a 6.5 liter v12. The bottom is a piece of garbage that Ferrari is releasing because tech geeks have taken over the world. The Ferrari is getting a lot of hate and it's all well deserved. The focus is mainly on the it's looks and rightfully so. It looks like a tech guy designed it. Tech guys are great at, well, tech. Other things? Not so much. Show me a tech genius and more often than not I'll show you someone with absolutely no style and zero sense of aesthetics. There's nothing wrong with that, they specialize in other areas. But when you allow them to create things, they all end up looking something like this. Everything becomes an Apple Watch. Looks aside, it's simply missing a big part of why people love high performance sports cars. The engine. We live in a world where we can't drive 220 mph in our day to day lives. Open it up on a track? Sure. But most people who spend 300k or more on a vehicle aren't doing that with any regularity. You want to feel it, though. You want to hear it. You rev the engine of a v12 Lamborghini and you know you're sitting on power. The rumble. It feels like you're sitting in a fighter jet. This is what you're buying. You're in part, buying a fantasy. You sit behind the wheel of an electric super car and you don't get that feeling. It's sterile, it's too clean, it's just... gay. Performance is crazy, I'll give them that, but you're essentially tootin around in a Jetsons car. Lacking exterior style and internally power you can feel, it just feels entirely soulless. It's the same reason I absolutely loathe smart watches. Id rather pay 1000x the price for a mechanical Swiss Watch than an Apple watch that would offer more accurate time keeping and functionality. I'm not an anti technology Grug, but I also hate where everything is heading. Clean, sterile and gay.

The words "climate change" do not simply refer to the idea that the Earth is getting warmer or cooler. The Earth is always getting warmer or cooler. Sometimes there were ice ages. Sometimes there were hippopotami in the Thames. No, the words "climate change" are something more. They are a political slogan. They do not merely mean that the world is getting warmer right now. They also mean that this is necessarily a bad thing. That it is your personal fault if you are White and live in America or Europe, but not if you are brown and live in India or China. That you must give up technology your ancestors enjoyed, and pay more taxes so that California can spend 132 billion dollars on 100 meters of rail. "Climate change" means treating a slow, inevitable, and natural process as a perpetual crisis requiring perpetual money. This is nothing but a perpetual grift, where the politically connected swear the ice caps are melting, fly around in private jets to tell you about it, then collect your money to buy beachfront property.
Jarvis Aeneas@JarvisAeneas

I’m starting to think that I’m the only right-winger on this platform who believes that climate change is a real phenomenon. Not saying it hasn’t been exaggerated in the media, but I just don’t see how you can wholesale reject it.

This is a problem I have faced. I gave up drinking entirely for years because of the severity of hangovers. The problem is it’s nice to have a drink once in a while but you go into a downward spiral… the less you drink, the more a few drinks is a shock to your system. Wine and beer have their cultural roots but each has major drawbacks. Wine hangovers often feel worse because wine, especially red wine, has more congeners, tannins, histamines, and sometimes sugar, which can amplify headaches, flushing, brain fog, and poor sleep. Beer hangovers often feel more sluggish and bloated. Wheat, gluten, yeast, or hops seem to worsen that puffy head / cotton brain fog. Dry white wines have less sugar and tannins and can be easier for your body to process Light beers have leas sugar and less yeast and hops too. I think that’s why those two options have become popular… but you get to a point where your tolerance is so low you can’t process that either. The problem is a dark beer or deep red wine is very inviting sometimes. Here you can test high quality brands. I don’t like the headaches all wine gives me so I avoid it all together but some brands of deep dark stout are fine. Just avoid ones with sugar added. But the real solution is hard alcohol. This too gives people crazy hangovers but usually because they either use bottom shelf booze or add loads of sugar. Stick to something simple and mix it with something you drink normally but you can get zero calorie seltzers in loads of flavors. I like a coconut seltzer with Goslings. Be sure to count your shots. I hate nothing more than a bartender who “hooks me up” with extra booze. So my rules: If you must go with a beer or wine check the sugar content. Avoid anything with additives. Either go really light and simple or very dark and high quality. Be honest with yourself about the glass size. Hard alcohol is the best but mix it with stuff you drink normally. If you drink diet coke regularly (not recommended but whatever) then have a whiskey diet. But if you don’t drink soda, don’t start at the bar. Get middle shelve or higher. Final tip. Traveling on short trips ain’t the time to try something new. Neither is a workweek. Stress will make any hangover at least twice as bad. Stick to known simple drinks on work trips or anywhere stressful. The time to darker, more expensive wines and beer are relaxed Fridays at home.
Mikli@CryptoMikli

Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life “It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again” “It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused” “I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”

Well...no. The global white population has INCREASED dramatically. 14.5% of all humans, counted honestly, are now white. There are over a billion whites. The only decline is RELATIVE. Because of near-magic tech invented by whites and many others - we just cured Guinea Worm, India just went to the moon, AI exists - other homo-sap lines are thriving as well! Isn't that...wonderful?
luv@luvkit

If we judged human groups by the same rules we use for animal species, white people would currently be classified as *Endangered.* A 67% global decline over three generations meets the official threshold. At current trends, they cross into *Critically Endangered* next generation. Biology doesn’t care about politics. The numbers are what they are.

I'll be honest, I haven't been a great fan of the DA for a while, but this is rather silly .. some of the smartest people I know have no degree, because they couldn't afford the fees, or because they went into a field that didn't need tertiary education. Just because you don't have a piece of paper with your name on it, under the name of some fancy expensive institution, doesn't mean you are incapable of using your brain.. Conversely, some of the dumbest people I know have degree's, because they assume having that fancy piece of paper somehow gives them intelligence. With the Internet, all knowledge is basically open source and anyone can educate themselves at will.

If you want to know how my life is going, we saw a mouse inside the house this morning. A singular, small mouse. My solution was to act like a normal human and buy a mousetrap. What are we doing? We're going to a hotel until an exterminator comes, lays traps and figure out any possible entry points. Why? Wife is worried about the Hanta virus and other diseases rodents can spread. Am I being unreasonable in thinking evacuating is ridiculous? It was a tiny field mouse. There's no visible droppings anywhere I can see. critical bird strike safety test on a Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II cockpit canopy. Test Purpose: Engineers simulate a bird strike by firing a projectile, often a chicken, from a pneumatic cannon nicknamed the "chicken gun". Speed: The projectile is launched at speeds exceeding 500 km/h to replicate actual high-speed flight conditions. Objective: This test ensures the canopy can absorb immense kinetic energy without shattering, protecting the pilot. Materials: The canopy is constructed from layered polycarbonate and reinforced composites designed for extreme resilience.

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink? Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.” SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most! Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules. Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope. Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?

A public struggle session because his bowling shirt had scantily clad women on it. Helen Andrews points out the quiet cost of institutional feminization: HR departments now hunt down any maverick personality and stamp it out. We’re losing innovators we’ll never even know about, all because someone focused on the shirt instead of the comet. This is how wokeness actually works.
