@toys_ndjebela Exactly. We are waiting for a disaster to happen just so we can act, God forbid. The time to protect these children and hold their exploiters accountable is now.

They look slightly happier lately 😅 But on a serious note, the authorities need to put out a serious word of caution - that whoever is found transporting undocumented children will - these ones or any other - have some serious answering to do. Because rounding up kids, who are already victims of child labour and potentially trafficking - and dump them on the other side of a non existent border fence - is not a sustainable expenditure. Those wooden wares and boiled eggs that they sell must be confiscated. Let the owners pick them up from the police and explain their abuse of the kids and our labour laws. Some among us look at these kids with contempt, annoyed by their mere existence. These are actually victims of a system that shrugs its shoulders instead of weeding out the structural issues underpinning this generational tragedy. How can an 8-year-old roam the streets of a foreign country? We have blood on our hands!

Hon. Minister Lucia Iipumbu should answer how are undocumented Angolan minors passing through multiple police roadblocks to reach Windhoek and Walvis? Who is transporting them? 🛑 @Shipululo @Imms_S_Nashinge @toys_ndjebela @ForceNampol

@Tall__Duke It’s not about moving people into a broken system, it’s about using the billions currently leaked to the private sector to finally fix the system. If she wait for it to be perfect before move, it will never happen because the money to fix it is currently being spent elsewhere.

This an immature move. First capacitate the public health facilities. There are more bigger problems to take care of, and to want to move this way without even having the smallest things in place like a billing system should tell you something about readiness

State employees will be required to use designated public hospitals – from 1 April this year - as part of sweeping reforms to the government’s medical aid fund, the Public Service Employees Medical Aid Scheme (Psemas).

Hon. Swaarbooi and Hon. Kandorozu delivered thoughtful, solutions based contributions to the Petroleum Bill today! That’s the kind of engagement that strengthens legislation. Not just the theatre we've been witnessing from the other ones.

@Stix_Munene1 @NewEraNewspaper The former President’s legs might be giving him trouble, but his mind is as sharp as ever. He still reads newspapers and his mail every single day. We shouldn’t act like a person's inability to walk easily should stop them from being active and moving around.

FNB Namibia appoints Mbo Luvindao as Retail CEO FNB Namibia has appointed Mbo Luvindao as its new Chief Executive Officer for Retail, following the move of former Retail CEO Nangula Kauluma to the role of Chief Executive Officer: Retail, FNB Broader Africa within the FirstRand Group. Luvindao brings more than 20 years of banking and financial services experience. He previously held senior roles at Bank Windhoek, including Head of SME, before joining NamPost as Executive: Financial Services, where he led the Savings Bank. Prior to his appointment at FNB, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Letshego Bank Namibia. “The opportunity to join FNB Namibia is both an honour and a privilege. I am mindful of the shoes I will be filling, given the strong leadership legacy within this institution, which is recognised for its innovation, customer focus, and operational excellence. I look forward to helping strengthen our retail franchise, supporting the bank’s strategic priorities, and advancing our commitment to delivering value to communities across Namibia,”Luvindao said. thebrief.com.na/2025/12/fnb-na… #namibia #appointment #finance @FNBNamibia @LetshegoNamibia @BankWindhoek @NamPostNamibia

@MekondjoKondja @ngurare Simplify the approval flow. Have a Limited Delegation Authority (LDA) thresholds so that only high value or complex issues reach the committee stage. Zero duplication, every item should get one final decision point.

Hon. PM @ngurare The delays in my opinion are because of bereaucracy in collaboration with the procurement process. Middlemen deliver timely most times even on short notice. We should be cautious of the Hammer Approach. If Directors and Deputy Directors stop sending back Submissions because 1 word is bolded, we'd cut solve delay and also save on papers and ink. Politicians want services delivered, unfortunately that middle management is cancerous to progress when occupied by arrogant people.

@namibiansun Conrad is the type of people @SWAPONamibia should be looking at for roles like Minister of Mines and Energy. Credibility and competence, especially for someone who was overseeing large tenders.

Outgoing Roads Authority boss Conrad Lutombi says former presidents Hage Geingob and Hifikepunye Pohamba personally intervened to stop him from accepting the lucrative N$300 000-a-month chief executive job at the City of Windhoek in 2022, urging him instead to remain in his national role to finish the country’s road network transformation. namibiansun.com/local-news/poh…
