@jandeman1245 @itsdavidramms @mika9002 I care about animal rights, which isn’t about methods or numbers, it's about principle. Welfarism is about human feelings. The foundation of all those things you mention is the belief that animals are commodities. Recognise their rights and no form of slaughter is justifiable.

@VeganRoo @itsdavidramms @mika9002 If you truly care about animal welfare, you'll focus on the biggest industry, namely factory farming. You won't focus on halal or even kosher slaughter.

Halal and Kosher killing shouldn't be allowed in countries that have strict animal welfare laws. What's the point of having laws to protect animals if they aren't enforced? Why are we allowing something that's legally defined as animal cruelty in many countries?

Creating hierarchies doesn't help animals & supports those people who claim that we need to fix human problems first. With a change in mindset, with total liberation as the goal, we can achieve more for everyone, human & animal.

The grave injustice is what bothers me the most about nonvegans’ attitudes and behavior toward our fellow animals.
There’s no significant difference between treating these innocent “animals” the way nonvegans treat them versus treating children that way. It’s truly sickening.

In pig slaughterhouses, gas chambers are common. They don’t just fall asleep. They panic, scream, and burn from the inside as the gas forms acid in their lungs. This isn’t peaceful. It’s torture.
