In line with our mission for holistic, well-rounded education for all, we recently organized Kathakaar: A Literature Festival at Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj English Medium School, Kasarwadi, run by PCMC and The Akanksha Foundation. This unique festival aimed to promote a love for reading and storytelling among children and parents. It was an exciting day filled with inspiring workshops led by 20 renowned children’s authors, illustrators, and artists. The event also featured a book fair, open for all parents to explore and celebrate literature. The highlight of the festival was the launch of the book “Humans of Kasarwadi,” an extraordinary project by 17 grade 7 students. These young authors interviewed individuals from their local community to discover stories of resilience and inspiration, compiling them into this powerful book. This launch inspires our students to dream big and become authors at a young age, proving that their voices and stories truly matter. Our library at Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj School has also become a hub for building a strong reading culture, and Kathakaar further strengthened this movement. A big shoutout to Principal Parijat Prakash and the entire team for their dedication and effort in organizing this inspiring event.
