From Apollo to Artemis… humanity’s return to the Moon! New missions, new goals, and a future that could take us all the way to Mars. For the Artemis III mission, there have been recent updates. While it was initially planned for 2027 with a lunar landing, it is now designed as a low Earth orbit demonstration mission, focusing on rendezvous and docking between the Orion spacecraft and commercial lunar landers. Curious about what Artemis really changes? Watch the video 🚀 #Artemis #NASA #SpaceExploration #Moon

Another critical technology powering the next generation of lunar rovers? The Battery Management System (BMS), already onboard MONA LUNA! Developed by Venturi Space’s Toulouse-based teams, the BMS is embedded within the lunar battery and continuously monitors the health, status, and temperature of each cell, adjusting energy delivery in real time. Every 10 milliseconds, voltage is tracked alongside multiple thermal data points to ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity. More than just a control system, the BMS acts as a vital safeguard, protecting the battery from degradation in one of the harshest environments. At the Moon’s South Pole, where night lasts up to 14 Earth days and temperatures range from -240°C to +130°C, the BMS plays a decisive role in managing both energy and thermal conditions, ensuring the rover’s survival. The entire team warmly wishes H.S.H. Prince Albert II a very happy birthday. We remain deeply grateful for the trust and support he has shown us since the very beginning. This time of year also recalls the historic Apollo 9 mission (March 3–13, 1969), a decisive step on the path toward human exploration of the Moon. It brings back memories of a memorable exchange at our Monaco headquarters in 2024 with H.S.H. the Prince and astronaut David Scott, one of the great pioneers of the Apollo era. Happy Birthday, Monseigneur 🇲🇨 #Venturi #MadeInMonaco

Five months after being unveiled at the Paris Air Show, the European lunar rover MONA LUNA has successfully completed a test campaign at the European Space Agency’s (ESA) LUNA centre in Cologne, Germany. A key outcome: the vehicle shows remarkable adaptability to loose soil, slopes, and obstacles. 🚀 Thanks to the @esa and the @cnes for their support! 🔗 The full announcement: swll.to/MONA-LUNA-Firs…

At Venturi Space, we’re proud to stand alongside our strategic partner Venturi @Astrolab, Inc. as we push the boundaries of lunar mobility. Together, we have recently completed a comprehensive testing programme for our Venturi Space hyper-deformable lunar wheel under NASA’s Space Technology Announcement of Collaborative Opportunity (ACO) Programme. Testing took place across multiple facilities, including @NASA_Johnson in Houston and @NASAglenn in Cleveland, as well as at our own test site in Switzerland. 🚀 Designed for the extremes Our work ensures that the FLIP and FLEX rovers developed by our partner, Venturi Astrolab, Inc., can endure everything the Moon throws at them, from launch vibrations and steep 26-degree slopes to brutal temperature swings ranging from –240 °C to +130 °C. 🔬 Proven resilience Through extensive environmental and load testing, across 11 unique test platforms, we validated the wheel's performance in every condition expected during a real lunar mission, including traction under varying loads, structural durability, and adaptability through long lunar nights. 🛞 No roadside assistance on the Moon Every element of this technology has been designed for autonomy and reliability, FLEX can travel thousands of kilometres across the lunar surface with confidence. This milestone marks another step towards redefining mobility beyond Earth!

Our 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 has remained 𝘂𝗻𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻 since 2016. ⚡ VBB-3 hit 549 km/h (341 mph), pushing tech to its limits. Like our MONA LUNA rover, it shows what expert battery performance and overcoming extremes can achieve. Thanks to our partners & the students at The @OhioState University! Record-breaking speed inspires our journey to space. 🚀

Astroblemes: Earth’s Celestial Scars During his three missions aboard the space shuttles Atlantis and Discovery, French astronaut and Venturi Space ambassador @astro_JFrancois marvelled at the wonders of our planet. He described seeing the “stories” of Earth written across its landscapes. Among the most striking are astroblemes — the remnants of ancient meteorite impacts.

On 21 April 1972, Apollo 16 landed on the Moon—marking the fifth lunar landing in history. On board were astronauts John W. Young, Charles M. Duke Jr., and Thomas K. Mattingly II. While exploring the lunar surface, John Young took a moment to embrace the Moon’s low gravity in an unexpected way. In what has since become known as the “Lunar Grand Prix,” he took the Lunar Roving Vehicle for a spirited spin—leaving behind not just scientific discoveries, but also a rare and very human moment of joy. Jean-François Clervoy, astronaut and ambassador for Venturi Space, shares the story behind this remarkable episode—a light-hearted glimpse into the human side of space exploration.
