Wow. How many people don't pay as much attention to the status of their absentee ballot as the sitting Secretary of State and didn't have their ballot counted? Too bad Ohio (w/ the blessing of the SoS) got rid of the grace period that went a long way to mitigate this very issue.

@OHSecofState Do NOT ever use the @USPS to vote. The woman at the counter at the Henderson Road branch in Columbus did not send mine after I bought a stamp there to mail my voter information, on April 17. The BOE had plenty of time to receive that.

Stuart Moats submitted to our office today a withdrawal of candidacy for the office of lieutenant governor as part of the Heather Hill / Stuart Moats joint candidacy for governor and lieutenant governor. Absent a valid lieutenant governor candidate, Ms. Hill no longer qualifies to receive votes for the office of governor. Ohio's 88 county boards of elections have been notified that any votes for Heather Hill / Stuart Moats will not be counted, and each board must also provide notice.
