After three weeks of nonpayment these young men decided to pay their customer visit to request payment, she claimed there were streaks on the windows and admittedly confessed it rained a lot then she pivoted to “there were lots of little bugs, I don’t know what you did“. The fatal mistake these young men made was the fact that they did the job on a verbal contract and this lady took full advantage of them, everywhere you look on social media there are people taking advantage of these young upstart business people. They originally quoted her $225 and gave her a “discount” and dropped to the price to $160, I did do one window cleaning job in the past because the customer practically begged me to do it and I reluctantly accepted. Simply because of the logistics upper windows would be $35 /window and this job has five windows upper level on the front of the house alone, that’s $175 the bay window in the front $40 the front door $35 and all first floor windows $25 each, hopefully these young men learned a valuable lesson in pricing and paperwork. Bottom line : when you’re pricing doesn’t lineup with the market norms and your project doesn’t come with accompanying paperwork you expose yourself to deadbeats like this.
