@MrsMassacre I was seriously considering moving to Wyoming because I wanted to live in the state that was in the news the least. I think I would have fit right in.
Montana and Wyoming are sister states and you're not welcome in either one of them. Why? Because if you weren't raised here, you will never fit into our world. Here's the annual machine gun and cannon shoot. You're not ready for our culture.
@TheDreamProfit@Real_Ames If you're going to quote the constitution, please quote it correctly. There is no right to protest, there IS a right to peacefully assemble. That right is over the moment you impede, harass or assault anyone who does not wish to participate in your "protest."
Are they really rioters, or people exercising their First Amendment right to assemble and protest?
Or is this just right wing voices labeling them “rioters,” putting words in their mouths, and escalating things until someone ends up in a tree with a rifle, aiming at people who were otherwise peaceful?
“Blessed are the peacemakers.”
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
“I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”
Does any of this line up with that, or is this something else entirely?
@MichaelKeith@TaraBull You've probably see this all the time in your line of work. I don't even think the people who do this even understand why they're doing it.
@VeritechAce@TaraBull I worked rescue squad in my early days of a FF. People standing on the side not even in the accident squalling so loud the people actually injured were bother by it. Had to have LEOs remove people many times. Just no reason for it.
You might want to do some real research on that BEFORE you act on it. Identify the laws in your state, talk to a lawyer who specializes in such cases, and most importantly research how similar cases are adjudicated in your state. You may be correct for your state, I'm speaking from the laws in mine.
@aristocrates13@WilliamTaborDDS@LowkeyEnergy_ See now you're just imagining things here. We don't know the story, we don't know what lead up to the situation. This is why we have courts of law to find the facts of the case. Let's try not to build a strawman here.
@WilliamTaborDDS@VeritechAce@LowkeyEnergy_ I believe he armed himself out of revenge and killed him. The man wasn't in imminent danger of death; he could have defended himself proportionately. He fired nine times at the first opportunity, finishing him off on the ground with cruelty.
@TaraBull A lot of security pros would say you and your family should train for situations. Home, out in public, etc. This video clearly shows why. The family reaction was lazy, kids were in immediate danger, wife was slow to react.
@TaraBull@grok couple of questions
1) How did the man get entrance?
2) Who was the random man; a friend, colleagues or total stranger
3) What time did the incident occur
4) Was the random man arrested?
6) What lessons are applicable to our daily lives?
I don't think "handle" or "quick" describes what happened here. This video shows exactly what you should not do in such situation. He might have well not even had the gun. Mind you everyone is a genius in hindsight, but regardless of gun or not everyone should be playing drills in their heads about different situations and how to get out of avoid them.
@TaraBull So, I don't wear a holstered gun when I'm chillin' on the couch, but I do keep one within arms reach most of the time.
TBH, I probably would have shot first and asked questions later in this situation. But I also keep my doors locked too... actually they self-lock.
@TaraBull I'll never understand the point of owning a small dog. Might as well get a cat.
Why go through all the maintenance and bullshit a dog requires if it can't even protect you?
