Unfortunately I’m not at #UKSF23 this week (although I do have a poster about health inequalities in stroke there!) - I’m busy with an accreditation event for a new OT MSc course that I’ve been keeping quiet!!

@ZoeStreeter Choice, by way of volunteering yourself on the day with everyone left to do it another day. Not a big deal but perhaps some lack of confidence/imposter syndrome at play for women!

This #InternationalWomansDay I attended a dept research event where we were randomly invited to do 5 min talks. Our dept is 70% female, & yet 3/8 speakers were women 🙄

No shade to my lovely colleagues who did speak! I was tasked to take photos of the women & it just really highlighted the difference!

Great turn out, can’t picket this week as I’ve got COVID (I’m fine!) but solidarity with everyone out today!

I should be teaching students about the gender pay gap today but instead I’m on strike with @ucu because the gender pay gap in universities is 18.9%, the race pay gap is 17% and the disability pay gap is 9%. We deserve better than that! #ucuRISING

We will not settle this dispute until concrete steps are taken to remove the 100,000 insecure contracts in universities across the UK. RT if you back that position. #ucuRISING
