🚨 SNAP Shock: Far many more millions in Food Aid Spent on 🦀 King Crab, 🦞 Lobster & 🥩 Steaks than the Department of War 🇺🇸 From an official government research study of $6.58 billion dollars in SNAP expenditures, $1.9 million dollars were spent on king crab, $2.2 million dollars were spent on lobster and $28.4 million on select beef loins. Federal SNAP spending in 2024 was $99.8 billion. Scaled up, that means SNAP recipients spent $28.8 million dollars on king crab, $33.36 million dollars on lobster, and $430.75 million on steaks. DoW spent $2 million on Alaskan king crab, $6.9 million on lobster tail, $15.1 million on ribeye steak. Ask any journalist pushing the "Hegseth is spending money on lobster" propaganda if they're willing to cut out those categories for SNAP recipients. They will not be.

A major problem with the teaching profession is that there are very few incentives to be good at your job. A teacher who is great and a teacher who is terrible will be paid the same, and the great teacher is at more risk of negative attention of they hold students accountable than a teacher who is terrible and just passes everybody. And the only real route to advancement is by getting out of the classroom and into an administrative office. There's something almost superhuman about teachers who, when faced with these realities, continue to press on in the profession, face the scrutiny, and continue to do their jobs no matter. The problem with that is that there are very few superhumans applying for the job, so we're left with what we have: a sub-par workforce in charge of our children, the most valuable things in the world.

My wife and I went through the McDonald's drive-thru window, and I gave the cashier a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter. She said, 'You gave me too much money.' I said, 'Yes, I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar back.' She sighed and went to get the manager, who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the 25c, and said, 'We're sorry, but we don’t do that kind of thing.' The cashier then returned 75 cents in change. Do not confuse the people at McDonald's.

@TheEcho13 I am 62 years old, a woman, and tired of being told who I am supposed to be. I am who I am. Wrinkles, graying, pudgy, cute, funny, tired, and shy. I spent my life raising children and having a full-time job. I hope future generations of women feel less pressure.

At some point women have to realize they’re going to be judged no matter what they do, so just do whatever you want. If you get wrinkles, you let yourself go. If you get Botox, you’re fake. If you have kids young, you ruined your life. If you have them later, you’re selfish. If you’re overweight, you’re lazy. If you take weight loss medication, you’re also lazy, and if you’re on a diet, you’re obsessed with yourself. If you stay home and raise your kids, you’re wasting your potential. If you go to work, you’ve abandoned them. If you depend on your husband to provide for you, you’re a gold digger. If you go out and make your own money, you’re too independent and troublesome. None of this was ever about the ‘right choice’. It was about keeping women so busy defending themselves that they forget they are allowed to choose for themselves at all.
