@Vicky_ojonugwa @Tringers__ Once you have those contractions and are dilated to almost 10…. That’s where the real pain is, you won’t be worrying about stitches. They will only feel like small pinches compared to the pain you’ll be going through with contractions and the baby trying to come out.

I have this colleague who is very religious. She frowns at everything office gossip, how we dress, especially those of us who wear trousers. Me in particular, she’s always telling me, “Learn how to wear skirts,” this and that. She just comes off as very “holier-than-thou.” She even talks about her relationship a lot; always saying how she doesn’t sleep over at her boyfriend’s place, how she keeps things “pure,” and all that. Everybody in the office just knows her as that over-religious person. But recently, we noticed she wasn’t acting like herself. She became quieter than usual. Then, three days ago… we found out she’s pregnant. And she’s not married. Now this is the same person who constantly speaks against premarital sex and acts like the rest of us are doing something wrong just because we don’t live like her. Before I gave birth, fan was my best friend. Rain, cold, harmattan, nothing concern me, that fan must blow. So after delivery, when my mum said “don’t use fan yet,” your body is still very sensitive.” I was like mummy please, I’m not a baby na. Had I known, I should have just listened to her. That night, I turned the fan and even dragged it closer to myself for “maximum enjoyment” and slept off. Few hours later, I had postpartum shivering and I woke up shaking like say dem plug me to electricity, I couldn’t even form words, my teeth were doing kpakpakpak. I quickly wore anything my hand touched, two tops, cardigan, trousers, socks and I was still shivering like I entered freezer. For one hour straight it didn’t stop. My mum just looked at me like “I warned you” without saying it 😂 She now started rubbing mentholatum and using hot water till my body calmed down. After everything calmed down, I just lay there thinking about my life choices. Lesson learnt: That day, I learnt one thing: Our parents can be a lot, but some of their advice no be joke ooo 😂😂

every pregnant woman's childbirth dream... comes into labour ward. first examination, 7cm dilated. good contractions. next examination. 10cm. Push twice... baby out... little or no tear. some women experienced this... infact, some came in fully dilated
