Did you notice that they struck Sokoto? Not Borno. Not Plateau. Not the obvious front line. That should teach you something about American intelligence and intelligence gathering. They know where the problem is from You do not fight only where the noise is loud. You hit where coordination, funding, and command are happening. The Nigerian Army can handle the front line. Soldiers can confront fighters head-on. But to end the problem, you dismantle the powerhouse. You break the coordination, the planners, the enablers. That is how real wars are won. This was not an attack. It was a warning. A message that says, in clear terms: We know where you are. We are watching you. Leave now, or face the consequences. That is how serious operations begin. Quiet. Precise. Psychological. And this is only one of many signals. If the attacks in Nigeria don't stop America will not back down, especially with this Israel intelligence I said it before in one of my posts. The next phase would not be loud. In the next 90 days, the noise would drop. What you are seeing now is the beginning of that phase. Why am I worried? Because Trump has now put Nigeria on the global map for the worst possible reason ever. A US missile strike on Nigerian soil. Then a public announcement that America struck ISIS terrorists in Nigeria 👈 That single statement has done serious diplomatic damage to Nigeria. Nigeria’s image has been dragged into a category it has never openly occupied before. And this could have been avoided months ago. If the leadership had acted with precision. If they had controlled the narrative. If they had managed the media. If they had crushed the insurgents quietly and decisively. But they failed. Completely. From the security adviser. To the army command. To the media handlers. To the presidential circle. Up to the president himself. They failed first to control the story. They failed to counter propaganda. They failed, most importantly, to end the insurgency. Now it has spilled beyond our control. Inside Nigeria, life feels normal. People are dancing, posting, moving on. But outside Nigeria, the picture is different. To the international community, Nigeria is now being associated with terrorism. Terrorism they have neglected since 2009 Travel restrictions are only the first signal. Clearing this image will not be easy. It will require the government to go all in. Diplomatically. Militarily. Politically. Media-wise. They must prove, that Nigeria is safe again. And that process is neither fast nor simple. That is why this strike worries me. Still, one thing remains true. If our leaders failed and someone else is now forcing accountability, then that part, at least, is a welcome development.

About 3 years ago, when I realised that I won't be spending a lot of time in Nigeria, I bought a Corolla for my driver. I wanted him to be using it for Uber when I am not around. A way to help him make more money and build something for himself. Today, he went to the house to pick up my car, and it wouldn't start. He left it and came to the airport to pick me up in his car. We have been around town in his car. Three years ago, I didn't know that a day would come when my kindness would be of great benefit to me. The A.C in this his car chills better than mine.

@MezieAbia @NigeriaStories Sometimes when we talk,I wonder and see reasons why we are where we are as a people. Christianity is never a religion but a relationship with God .that's what makes it different and that why is about love forget we practice as a people,it's supposed to be Christ like simple.

This is the best news to ever come from Nigeria since creation. We’ve been a religious people for over 60 years of creation without nothing tangible and substantial to show for our religiosities. It’s high time we embraced the realities facing us. We gotta tell ourselves the raw truth that God and prayers do not build any Nation, only humans do. The day we stop complaining to God and begin to do what humans are meant to do for themselves in a human society, we will begin to see realistic changes and possibilities.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: READING THE RIOT ACT ON AVIATION SAFETY AND SECURITY IN REFERENCE TO THE CASE OF UNRULY MS. COMFORT BOB ON IBOM AIRLINE AND RELATED INCIDENTS Earlier today, we again woke up to viral videos of a female passenger on Ibom Airline (now identified as Ms. Comfort Emmanson or Comfort Bob) who went berserk and physically assaulted both the flight crew and the ground staff. The incident took place yesterday, August 10, 2025 on Ibom Airline Flight No. Q153 from Uyo to Lagos at about 14:54 hours. Ibom Airline has since issued a statement to provide some context to the effect that the whole unfortunate incident arose because of the refusal of the passenger to switch off her phone during take off as required by extant International Civil Aviation Regulations. Consequently, in the last few hours, I have been speaking with the Commissioner of Police of the Airport Police Command, the DG of the NCAA and his team, the MD of FAAN and her team, the COO of Ibom Air and his team about the incident. Apart from the indefinite flight ban imposed on the said unruly passenger (both local and international) by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) the Police has promptly arraigned her this morning at the Ikeja Magistrates Court for criminal offences and remanded her at Kirikiri Prisons as she could not provide adequate sureties in court. I have attached the Charge Sheet and Remand Order for clarity. We also note the scuffle that took place between the unruly passenger and ground personnel before she was eventually subdued. This was because of her uncooperative attitude. Whilst we support the filming of her recalcitrant behaviour as evidence to prosecute her, what is DEPLORABLE is to release such evidence containing indecent exposure to the public to ridicule her. That is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE to us. We will not fold our arms and tolerate the debasing of womanhood. I have therefore directed that whoever RELEASED that part of the video containing the indecent exposure amongst the staff should be singled out and adequately sanctioned. I have also directed that the airlines must continue to train and retrain their staff in public relations and how to deal with potentially explosive situations in order to diffuse them promptly or nip them in the bud, except when it becomes inevitable. I have also directed a joint security meeting between relevant agencies next week for better coordination of security measures in situations like this or similar ones we witnessed recently. For genuinely aggrieved passengers, there are clearly laid-down remedies to address grievances. The Consumer Protection Directorate of the NCAA has consistently advertised these remedies and there is no point trying to take the laws into one’s hands that may lead to dire consequences. We will continue to apply equal sanctions available to us in Aviation on any such erring passengers, that is lengthy flight bans and report the matters to other law-enforcement agencies to do their bit within their powers.

Your Excellency, @atiku , whilst I acknowledge that it is within your constitutional right to change political Parties at anytime you may wish, however, releasing your letter of resignation from the PDP during this week of the mourning of our immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, is clearly an attempt to draw the spotlight away from such a solemn occasion and direct it on yourself. In fact (as the image below shows) you prepared, typed, signed and delivered that letter the morning after the passing away of the former President was announced. With the greatest respect to you, this clearly demonstrates that your obsession with your perennial Presidential ambition knows no sympathy or empathy. And since we are on the issue of your letter, it is both morally and legally wrong to continue to use the Coat of Arms of the Federal Government in your private or political communications when you stopped being a functionary of the Federal Government more than 18 years ago. Section 6 of the Flag and Coat of Arms Act, Cap. F30, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 makes this an offence. Morally, it is also reprehensible to use a symbol suggesting that you are acting on behalf of the authority which that symbol represents. It borders on impersonation. Imagine a situation where all former Government functionaries continue to use the Coat of Arms of Nigeria in their personal, political or private communications. There would certainly be confusion everywhere. I have a bounden duty both as a Cabinet member and a member of the Inner Bar to protect our laws and constitution. Please, be well guided.

PRESS RELEASE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERATION* FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO NATIONAL UNITY AND FAIR REPRESENTATION IN APPOINTMENTS The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) wishes to address recent insinuations circulating, particularly on social media, regarding the composition of Federal appointments. The Government categorically refutes claims of lopsidedness and emphasizes its unwavering commitment to the principles of fairness, equity, and national unity. All appointments are made in strict adherence to federal character principle, as enshrined in Section 14 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as Altered). It is notable to mention that, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, believes strongly in the unity of Nigeria and is guided by the ideals of fairness and tenets of justice in all appointments. This Administration is dedicated to ensuring that all regions and demographics of the country are adequately represented in its institutions and agencies. The OSGF therefore, urges the public to disregard unfounded speculations and rely on official Government sources for accurate information. The Government remains steadfast in its pursuit of a prosperous, united and equitable Nigeria, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of this Administration. Pokers of embers of hate and disunity who carry tendentious and unfounded allegations should never be taken seriously by Nigerians. Inquiries with respect to this matter can be channeled through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation which is the official custodian of such appointments. *Segun Imohiosen* Director, Information and Public Relations for. Secretary to the Government of the Federation
