Testing @midjourney v8 to create cinematic stills for a concept short film adaptation of The Last Question by Isaac Asimov. One of my favourite pieces of sci-fi ever written.
Part 1: May 2061. Two exhausted technicians sit drinking whiskey in the belly of Multivac, a computer so vast its corridors stretch for miles underground, cables thick as tree trunks feeding into walls of blinking relay panels. One of them, half-drunk, asks the machine if the death of the universe can be reversed.
The machine goes silent.
Imagery inspired by Denis Villeneuve - Dune, Blade Runner 2049. That thing he does where architecture becomes a character and silence hits harder than dialogue.

@andyorsow ye! also, the stand doubles as a blunt object for when the render crashes

Why did OpenClaw take off?
“I found it relatively easy to set up and get going… I didn’t have to spend seven hours just to do the Telegram use case and start playing with it.”
"I just think it's sort of that, like just that level of accessibility to users who are maybe not living in a codebase day-to-day."
"The other agent frameworks were pretty difficult to use, incredibly flaky, [I] didn't really want to spend a lot of time debugging someone else's stuff."
"There's another major part of this that it can extend itself."
"It's the first agent I've seen where I can say, 'I want integration with something.' And it's like: 'well, I've never seen this before, there's no package for that, but let me try to put something together.'"
"There is definitely a long-running nature of it. You leave it running for a night and you're like, keep working on this until you finish."

@andrewchen AIs removed the friction that used to stop bad ideas early. Now we're all three hours deep before realizing this one didn't need to exist

I noticed some people criticize my open sharing of ideas approach. I should shield those ideas for myself and not let others take my ideas. Dude, I do not have time for all of my ideas. My brain is a continuous fountain of ideas. Without this avenue to share, many ideas never got heard at all. I don't have time for all of my ideas. If you have time for it and love it and want to make it real. I invite you to do that. You don't even have to pay me for it because you invested the time to make it real. And I would be elated just to see my idea be made real by someone. Random spit balling of ideas and bouncing balls against the wall with other people has a lot of value.

@PromptLLM I guess waving the white flag beats endless pursuit of a failing bet, hopefully they've built up tons of multimodal data with horizon but I don't thats worth $80b

no one else find it baffling a company can just throw $80bn at a completely failed project and then continue like nothing happened?

@thisiskp_ I'm as pro AI as it gets, but this makes me uneasy, even though I totally see the emotional pull and why people need it

Earlier this week, got introduced to Pantio.
It’s a digital legacy platform that lets you preserve someone's voice and personality using AI.
The goal is to help people:
- Clone a parent's or grandparent's voice from old recordings, voicemails, videos
- Create an AI persona that talks and responds like them .. same humor, same way of giving advice
- Let kids and grandkids "meet" relatives they never got to know
- Say the things they never got to say
You upload whatever you have — voice messages, family videos, even phone recordings — and Pantio builds a persona that sounds like them and feels like them.
FWIW I believe it’s definitely not for everyone and the founders are upfront about it but for those who want to still connect to the familiar version of their lost loved ones.. it can be magical ⚡️
Dmitry Korzhov@korzhov_dm
We all lose people we love. Their stories, their laugh, their wisdom — gone forever. Pantio is here to change that. We've built a way to preserve the people who matter most, so you can talk to them, share memories, and keep their presence in your life, even after they're gone.
