I am not claiming they are not acting in good faith but when we have a Government run by lawyers they tend to think with their pockets... the treaty should be about so much more in my opinion

@rockfallgib @tonyevans88 @KaelanJoyce I disagree they definitely have a mandate and the Government is acting in good faith on our behalf. I doubt they would have won with this ongoing treaty deal.

If this is about balance / open debate, the proper test is request airtime via official channels (email) & publish response or lack of one. GBC should have no issue answering this openly. Because it is and people should have the right to listen to opposing views via official channels, not just fed Government sponsored propaganda..with no alternative views or an sort of criticism (in my opinion). Doesn't anyone else find this extremely odd?

Thatcher. Also with him as Deputy to Brussels Agreement in early 80's. Thank you Mr. Canepa for your service to Gibraltar.

@KaelanJoyce Follow Spanish politics and it starts to make sense. Some parties could break the treaty in its current state and use the border which could cause maximum chaos. Having the EU and the UK formally involved in monitoring and enforcing the treaty actually provides protection.

19/ Could treaty be a trick? Radical Spain govt could tighten screws. Radical UK govt could leave it. But refusing to try would gain fast economic trouble. Many take relief in Gib’s historically fierce defenders of sovereignty, support a treaty they admit is weird but necessary.
