saw a post saying we are so emotionally invested in the artemis ii mission because it shows intelligent people working together to do difficult things. and honestly, that resonates. it feels like a reminder of what is still possible

Watching the Artemis splashdown and just out of curiosity is it anyone’s job to make sure there are no sharks?

If I was on Artemis I’d choose the seat that would make me slightly further from Earth than the other astronauts during the moon orbit, but I wouldn’t mention it until the press conference.

It was inspiring to watch the Artemis II launch yesterday — @NASA’s first crewed mission around the moon since 1972. Our space program has always captured an essential part of what it means to reach beyond what we thought was possible, and I hope the four brave astronauts on this mission will inspire a new generation to follow in their footsteps.

How great would it be if we kept doing cool stuff like this instead of constantly trying to kill each other.

Space flight is great because they let the nerds take over the cable broadcasts for a few hours and it’s just so much more informative than watching people argue at a desk
