3 year old video from the national Business Crime Centre on how to deal with disruptive & anti-social behaviour as a retailer. What do you think about the advice in this video?

Shamelss behavior by @British_Airways on BA720! Ground staff forced me to check in my cabin bag containing fragile electronics, lying that the flight was "full." Just boarded and the cabin is half EMPTY! Now I’ll miss my tight connection at Istanbul Airport. Unacceptable! 😡✈️

@KnackeredStew People make mistakes and it’s sensible to read the road and anticipate them. There’s no comfort in being the most righteous corpse in the morgue. The driver’s turn, whether right or wrong, was very predictable.

@E7Drew @Telegraph Heatwaves kill people in their homes too, I’m not arguing against the impact of heat. But 48% of UK workers are employed by small businesses who can’t afford to pay a workforce that isn’t working.

@CleansedTweets A simple bullet point list of talking points can help guide you along, prevent you rambling or missing anything important. I've used the same thing in live interviews, a few off-camera bullet points as a safety net (see hnis.co.uk/media)

@AlexBachII @HenryPryor No-one's saying otherwise? But, given that the asking price of this property has dropped by almost £5m/>50% in four years, there's a reasonable argument that it wasn't priced realistically. And that seems to be a recurring issue, particularly in NW3. Asking price ≠ value etc.

Posting this as a warning to others because scams like this are very real and people do get burned. Shared from the Tales of the Thai Side Facebook page for awareness. ------------------------------------ I saw someone the other day submitted their story about being scammed in Chiang Mai at probably the same karaoke I went to, so thought id share my experience. So my first night in Thailand did not go well, this was back in like 2019. After checking into my Airbnb, I headed down to the old town around 9pm. I ended up at a bar called Zoe in Yellow, packed with people and girls dressed in Santa costumes. There was one girl in a gold dress who caught my eye, but she was with a group of six friends and I just couldn't work up the nerve to approach them. I left disappointed. I ended up at another club called Spicy, where I met a girl and we started chatting. When we got outside under the streetlights though, let's just say she looked very different to how she looked inside the dark club. By this point I was very drunk and tired, so I just rolled with it. She and her friend took me for food and drinks, which I paid for, then dropped me back at my Airbnb, and just drove off into the night. Now, the smart thing would have been to just go to bed. Instead, I jumped in a taxi and asked the driver to take me somewhere. He dropped me at a karaoke venue on the outskirts of town, no doubt collecting a nice commission for delivering a drunk tourist to their door. I was shown to a room, and drinks and food arrived without me even ordering anything. When I asked for the bill after about 30 minutes, a man placed it on the table and stood blocking the door. Even through the amounts of drinks I had, I knew something was wrong. The bill was 20,000 baht, around £500. I completely lost my head, ripped up the bill, and tried to leave. About eight guys disagreed with that plan, and it got pretty ugly pretty fast. Eventually I swallowed my pride, apologised, and paid the bill. The Thais calmed down immediately, like nothing had happened. I got a tuk-tuk back to my Airbnb, only to find I had nothing smaller than a 1,000 baht note, and the driver had no change. I just handed it over and went to bed. Expensive, painful, and embarrassing. But honestly, great stories come from terrible nights. facebook.com/share/p/1CrdZG…

@MartinSLewis If I have to go shopping for anything, I go out, get it & go home as expediently as possible. I have far better things to do with my time.

@jungsungchacn As I understand, although I could be wrong, in England we are taught the last way - the correct way. I was anyway.
