In Banjara Hills, Hindus staged protest at the collectors office, opposing the Congress government’s decision to put the Peddamma Thalli Temple land up for sale. Those who staged protest were arrested and taken to Nampally Police Station. Last year, Local revenue officials dismantled part of the Peddamma Thalli Temple in MLA Colony, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad and removed the idol. Devotees said the action was done covertly early in the morning without prior notice.
