@kathytpham I managed to grow and harvest Early Jersey Wakefield cabbage and Clemson spineless okra in my greenhouse. Planted these heirlooms from seed in April. Garden inspires hubby to cook his umami-full Vietnamese salad😋

This right here highlights the difference between me and @jovialjoy. I write tweet rants, and argue with everyone without saving my energy, and she saves her energy for a beautifully written piece that makes much more of an impact than my tweets. @Joy.Buolamwini/ibm-leads-more-should-follow-racial-justice-requires-algorithmic-justice-and-funding-da47e07e5b58" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@Joy.Buolamwin…

@kathytpham Our grapes were tiny but sweet; not right balance of water, nutrients, and pruning beyond T-shaped main trunk. We also had a jujube tree that didn’t grow at all until MIL watered it constantly, quadrupling jujube tree height & producing fruit in one season! Gardening = experiment

More gardening takeaways: Forced patience, digging holes is incredibly cathartic, I have no idea what I am doing and hope animals don't eat all our fruit, but even if they do, planting was fun. Also, someone got us a grape plant. Keep or get out before maintenance gets too hard?

If you’re wondering whether it’s an overreaction to cancel large gatherings and public events (and I love basketball), here’s a useful primer as to why these measures can slow the spread of the virus and save lives. We have to look out for each other. vox.com/2020/3/10/2117…
