He should be fired and permanently blacklisted from any professor job.
Maybe suggesting violence is okay and the answer results in incidents like Nashville.

@Jusrangers People aren’t born wanting to shoot people. People aren’t born thinking that’s a solution to anything.
We’re always trying to solve the wrong problem.
English

These children weren’t even born yet when Sandy Hook happened.
But we’ve done nothing in that time to keep assault rifles out of the hands of violent people.
Gun control now.
Metro Nashville PD@MNPDNashville
The 6 victims fatally shot by the active shooter at Covenant School are identified as: Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all age 9, Cynthia Peak, age 61, Katherine Koonce, age 60, and Mike Hill, age 61.

@BillKristol Let’s say Trump gets the nomination. Or actually wins the presidency. Are y’all going to actually wake the fuck up and realize you’re part of the problem or just keep blogging about how you’re enlightened and everybody else is stupid?
Get those clicks, babe.

"There’s a temptation to dismiss this buffoon and his tired act...But he is dangerous...There are two arguments from this new Trump that make him a much bigger threat to the republic than he was in 2016: revenge and apocalypse." newrepublic.com/article/171383…

@DACDAC4DAC Well, maybe some of y’all live in places where that’s ok.
The rest of us…🤷♂️
English

@JenniferSey Sounds like a life choice problem.
Unless you’re shooting for Wall St or Madison Ave or the surgical theater at John’s Hopkins, you can have a damn good life going to Western State university instead of Stanford.

“There's a whole cohort of young people who are not going to get the kind of education that's going to allow them to get the best jobs. It's going to cost lots of kids tens of thousands of dollars over their earnings, or some 100s of 1000s of dollars.”
This also means shorter life expectancy.
English

“According to educators, this will be a kind of lost generation: under-educated to the point where it drags down their future, and ours.”
Some of us said this from the beginning. We were blackballed & blacklisted. We shouldn’t have been. We were right. cbsnews.com/news/covids-ed…
English

@JenniferSey Parents gotta step up. It’s on us. Always has been. The kids that succeed have support at home.
English

@JenniferSey it doesn’t need to be even after all this.
I recall the line from Good Will Hunting: “you could have got the same education for $30 at Kinko’s and library card”
It’d be amazing how kids could catch up if parents gave a damn, read to their kids, limited TikTok time.
English

@Jusrangers Oh great…instead of genuine “I called this wrong” here’s going to be a string of comments that indirectly blame somebody else.
Let’s count the “I wore a mask to…” comments.
English

Both parties are trapped by the bullshit extreme of their own party.
Democrats by the crowd that wakes up outraged and isn’t happy unless somebody is being castigated.
Republicans by people who think there is some mass conspiracy to rig elections.

@BillKristol There is (was, at this point?) a potentially easy solution: End the primary system. Bring back the cigar smoke filled rooms.

“Like every other secretly normie Republican, Rubio believes his voters are capable of violence if they are not appeased…Yet Rubio continues to ask these voters for support. He does nothing to try to reason with them, or explain the world to them…” thetriad.thebulwark.com/p/who-is-marco…

@subsix848 I’m stunned at how many people don’t realize that the cdc, media, Fauci, and all the doctors that advanced their careers squawking on cnn….were just making shit up.
English

One potential explanation for this disturbing finding on Covid and kids:
CDC decided early on that they’d rather be criticized for being “overly cautious” than for being not cautious enough.
Simple institutional ass-covering.
Kelley K@KelleyKga
Three years ago when I started tracking Covid data in Georgia, I never imagined I'd end up co-authoring a paper on basic mathematical errors the CDC made during the pandemic. Most of the errors exaggerate the risk to children. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf…

We’re a politically obsessed nation. If you’re upset 24 hours a day, I pray for you. That’s a sad existence.
We have a media that thrives on conflict and anxiety.
For all the good being a diverse country brings, it does breed conflict.

@nycexpatmom At the same time….haven’t some kids felt like this since the beginning of time? Introverts aren’t new.
Plenty of kids just wanted to play video games or read comic books when I grew up. Most ended up fine. Hell some of the socially popular ended up peaking in high school.
English

@nycexpatmom I’ve come to the conclusion that I can’t help how other people parent. I’ve acquiesced that a certain number of kids are going to grow up and be a drag on the rest of us because their parents bought into stupid shit.
I’ll raise mine how I see fit and we’ll see who wins the race.
English

@ericasmombubbe3 @JReinerMD @RickABright Ah, so he gets blamed for deaths that happened under Biden.
Y’all really do wake up in the middle of the night thinking about Trump.

All through February 2020, agency scientists had been gathering evidence that the new coronavirus was being spread by people without symptoms. Americans weren’t advised to wear masks until April 3. nytimes.com/2023/03/21/hea…

@JenniferSey There were many people that *wanted* it to be worse. If not in reality then in perception.
It was their chance to be a hero. To endure an harrowing event written about in history books. This was their D-Day.

“You see absolutely no reaction at all to the COVID crisis,” Nicole Maestas, an associate professor of health care policy at Harvard, told Benjamin Mazer of the Atlantic in June 2022. “It’s just not a mass disabling event.”

We’ll still know where the subpar schools are.
We realize the grading scale hasn’t influenced schools to actually improve anyway.

"Did mitigation measures imposed in the spring of 2020 actually work? And considering the costs, were they worth it?" Almost silently, the country seems to have decided that, despite a million-plus dead, the answer to both questions is "No." (1/x) nytimes.com/2023/03/17/opi…

@BillKristol Sooooo let’s prosecute a former president so he doesn’t get elected again on a charge related to something everybody knew about when we elected him the first time.
Yeah, y’all are going to bone this and the rest of us will have to live with it.
