@OldSchool80s I was recently flying and popped it on the seat back screen to watch, but in the selection menu it was called "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" and I still don't know what to make of that.

I really don't like the Prequels. But have watched all of them dozens of times. Never rewatched a sequel. I cringe when I watch, but I always come back. Despite their many flaws, they are Star Wars. For better or worse, Lucas and ONLY Lucas is Star Wars. That's my conclusion.

@StarWars_Cringe Correct. Midichlorians never ruined The Force or the central idea behind it. Their inclusion also shows that the Jedi of the Prequel era became far more focused on biology than faith. This led to their weakened ability to use The Force and then their eventual downfall.

Midichlorians are a good establishment for Star Wars and make way more sense than "anyone can use the Force" ever will.

@Drumdums In the โ90s I went to the movies every weekend. Didnโt matter what was playing I was there. I donโt go any more. Most movies Iโve no interest. The ones I am interested in I just canโt bring myself to spend that kind of money on a subpar venue and experience. Theaters lost me.

@Drumdums Dutch got his ass kicked the entire movie. He was at a disadvantage at every step. His every plan, every escape failed. Even his snare trap failed. The only reason he โwonโ was dumb luck with the monster standing under the counter weight.

Please keep in mind that both movies had one character going against the predator in the final act, both having to use their minds. Not their brawn. They always leave that part out. Also, in Prey, she failed numerous times, learning along the way the predators weaknesses (just like Dutch btw) before the final fight.

@StarWarsDaily_ I love this movie. But, honestly, if I could change one thing it would be Ewan McGregorโs wig used in the pick-up shots. It looks nothing like his natural, spiked hair during principle photography.

This woman saved Star Wars. Without her there would be no Star Wars. She went in and re-cut the trench run scene so it actually made sense after Lucas showed it to a bunch of people and they laughed at it. Seriously a legend. May the force be with you. Thank you.

The problem with Spielberg's style, which I love, is that music telegraphs a lot of the emotion. Modern audiences find this old fashioned. They like no underscore and definitely no leitmotifs, yet they want a faster pace. So in camera blocking gets dropped for more edit based filmmaking - Nolan/Villeneuve. I like the latter too, but as a child of the 80s I die for Spielberg's classical blocking.
