This is our medical records, a year of research & nearly 300 freedom of information requests to all NHS trusts in England. We'd like to encourage discussion around differences in national guidelines and professional guidelines - and the inconsistency that has evolved as a result

Why can't the public have "a good grasp" on PPD CHD detection rates at "centre" or trust level? Why do we still have regional reporting by ICS, ICB or STP? Is there correlation with record retention protocol at 20 weeks?

Our CEO Jon and Deputy CEO Anne are at #BCCA2025 in London connecting with global #CHD experts. 💙 As well as having a stand, we're delighted to have been selected to share our work on the archiving of fetal cardiac views in the form of a poster presentation.

After his neglectful actions, and abhorrent treatment of women (myself and members of staff - which I witnessed whilst I was there) he left the Trust, and now works in a more senior position at @CHFTNHS as a consultant! @gmcuk are aware, and I am *still* awaiting their decision…

It’s baby loss awareness month and I’m here to tell my story 🧵 This is my daughter Pippa. She should be almost 5 months old now but died due to medical negligence at @DudleyGroupNHS. I was told at 22 weeks that Pippa was a bit small but nothing to worry about, as routine…

I am deeply honoured to have been appointed to serve in the House of Lords. It is the greatest privilege of my life, after 40 years working to improve the life chances of children & families to have been given this incredible opportunity to continue that work in Parliament.

Data storage costs have been suggested as a reason trusts can't retain views. Patients are also prevented from filming their own scans on their phones, not because it interferes with equipment, but because sonographers would be distracted and sonographer privacy compromised🤷‍♂️😳🙃

@ViewsMissing @UKChange Some of these Trusts have a higher than average rate of socially deprived families in addition to the increased risk of congenital abnormalities What if conditions are not identified / diagnosed at birth 10 months seem a very short time that images are destroyed after birth

62 trusts have advised they retain fetal cardiac views, 48 trusts have advised they don’t.  2 trusts have advised they have hospitals that do both. 10 trusts are yet to respond to our FOI's 3 months later.  Currently, we figure that’s 56% of trusts that retain and 44% that don’t.

We're still waiting on 10 trusts to respond. If you'd like a copy of our spreadsheet drop us an email on mollys_missing_views@proton.me We've provided it to the CRG. We understand our data may be linked with some more specific national detection data that is being collated.

56% of trusts retaining fetal cardiac views at the 20 week scan is significant. “The standard of care provided by a competent ultrasound practitioner is that which the majority of similar individuals would provide" (Society of Radiographers).
