@VillaTilliDye @_stonyd @Robbie9Fowler I'd assumed the ref blew and we didn't hear it, as there was debate on field about a 2nd yellow. But either way, to give a yellow - and particularly a 2nd yellow, you need to be 100% he knew the whistle had gone and nobody can be.

@PGM_LOL @_stonyd @Robbie9Fowler You’re correct in a round about way. The ref never actually blew the whistle on the 2nd one. So yeah if kicking the ball away is yellow then first one is right. But second one the Liverpool players played the flag not the whistle

@_stonyd @Robbie9Fowler Disagree, I think the first one is clear, he knows play has stopped. Second one I don't think you can be sure he knows the whistle went, so correct to not give another yellow.

@AaronWar_ It’s really easy to understand. If you win the European trophy but have already qualified through your own domestic league the European slot goes to a different division based on clubs coefficient points. The only spots that get passed down are from domestic trophies

Rule 3.07 is why a 9th can not get European Football if Aston Villa win the UEL and finish 5th.

@PudgeDaButcher @InvertTheWing So the are 2 eps slots that go to the two leagues with biggest coefficient. This year England and Spain. If the winner of a UEFA trophy has already qualified through the league that ‘trophy slot’ goes to the team with the highest coefficient points. See last year PSG

I think it’s bizarre how Villa have to finish exactly 5th for 6th to get UCL Football (assuming they win Europa). Makes no sense. Zero difference. So England get 1 less spot because of a club finishing 4th instead of 5th…? Even though the whole point of this new format is to reward England with an extra place.
