Disgusted and angered by the fire that devastated Nöam, a well-known kosher restaurant in Montreal. My team and I had eaten there just last month. Montreal police are investigating the fire as arson. It comes amid an alarming rise in attacks against Jewish institutions, businesses, schools and places of worship. The motive must be established quickly, and those responsible must be found, prosecuted and held fully accountable. Antisemitism has no place in Montreal or anywhere in Canada. We will always stand with the Jewish community.

The craziest thing I ever learned about child marriage in the US is that if you’re young enough to have to get parental consent to get married, you legally can’t obtain a divorce independently bc you’re “too young”. So you can effectively be TRAPPED with zero legal recourse.
