His name is Ashok Khemka. IIT Kharagpur. PhD from TIFR. IAS 1991 batch. In 2012 he was Director General of Land Consolidation in Haryana. He found a land deal where Robert Vadra’s company bought 3.5 acres in Gurugram for Rs 7.5 crore and sold it to DLF for Rs 58 crore within weeks. 700 percent profit. No physical development. Fraudulent mutation approvals. He cancelled the deal and declared it illegal. Within 10 days he was transferred. That was transfer number 1 of 57. 57 transfers in 34 years. One every 6 months. Every time he exposed corruption in a new department he was moved to a less significant one. Archives. Archaeology. Printing and Stationery. His batchmates became Secretaries to the Government of India. He was sent to manage old records. He posted on X after his 53rd transfer. The reward for honesty is humiliation. He retired in April 2025 as Additional Chief Secretary. He never became Chief Secretary. No medal. No recognition. Just 57 punishments for doing his job.

For investors in Indian markets: Short-term capital gains tax (stocks held <1 year) went from 15% to 20% two years ago. Long-term capital gains tax (held >1 year) went from 10% to 12.5% two years ago. And FIIs outflow since then: 2025: Record ₹1.66 lakh crore net - the highest annual FII outflow ever recorded in Indian markets. 2026: ₹1.51 lakh crore net just year to date. Just a 2% increase matters a lot if you are an FII investing billions. FIIs invest in India because of high growth opportunities, but a depreciating rupee and an increase in taxes means they may move out their capital. And FIIs definitely move their capital when they sense global issues may drag India's growth. We are already seeing this. This causes more stresses to India's economy, currency, and companies. Even if futures and options keep their increases in STT (for various reasons it can be argued to make sense), for capital gains from equities, this increase in tax definitely needs to be reconsidered by GoI. An idea I propose is the increases in taxes can be applied (some other way) only for FIIs, and only when they are taking out the capital from the country. Not sure how it can be implemented, or if it is even practical. If not, the increases in CGT must be reconsidered, and reverted for at least the time being, to incentivize FIIs and DIs in investing in India's growth story.

In 1960, South Korea’s per capita income was $94. India’s was $82. China was neck and neck with us through the 1970s, India was actually ahead of China in 1980. But today Korea is 13 times richer than us in per capita terms, China is 5 times richer, Singapore is 38 times richer. Same starting point, just one difference, they freed their people to build. Ps- this immunity is for those SM handles who have posted in genuine interest as whistle-blower & not to those who have used Grok to undress unrelated women or Hindu Deities. I hope the matter ends here. Don't fall for rumours. Modi Sarkar is the most tolerant Govt when it comes to facing criticism & has never misused power to suppress 'right' voices.

Health Minister @JPNadda ji was not informed of the individual FIR filed by FSSAI officer who is already under enquiry. Strict action is being taken against the individual officer. Minister has taken cognisance of the matter and believes that strong action will be taken.

Around 12000 Indians apparently lost job in the recent Oracle layoff. If the average tenure is 10 years of experience and if each one has paid an annual income tax of 2 lakhs over the 10 years tenure, these guys have paid 2400 crore rupees in Income Tax alone. Add the VAT, Stamp Duties, Road Tax, GST, Excise Tax and other indirect taxes they would have paid. Assume it to be a ballpark 2000 crores more. 12000 employees of Oracle alone would have paid around 4400 crores in various taxes to both Union Government and state governments over the last 10 years. They have now lost jobs and what is the social security they have today? Is the Government going to help them? Did PM speak about this unfortunate incident? Did FM speak about it? Did Finance Ministry speak about this? Did Labour minister speak about it? Did any state CMs speak about it? Did any state minister speak about it? This is just an example. Many other companies have fired people over years. Tax payment in India is a one way street. You load the government coffers with truckloads of money, and you dont get a dime when you are in distress.

Kejriwal has removed Raghav Chadha as the party’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha and has also informed the Speaker that Chadha should not be given time to speak on the party’s behalf. This was reportedly because Chadha wasn’t raising the issues the party wanted him to, but instead pushing his own drafted issues, allegedly for personal PR. Unless the BJP, which is known to take even the worst from others, brings him in, this is the end of Chadha’s political career. His Rajya Sabha tenure ends in two years, and after that, the AAP is not going to renominate him. But then, there’s always the BJP.

और फिर सैकड़ों करोड़ का टेंडर निकलेगा जिसमें पुनः चायनीज कैमरे ही लगेंगे। वह ऐसे कि कम्पोनेंट उसी चीन से आएगा, इनके बाबुओं की औकात नहीं है कि वो यह समझ सकें कि कौन सा कम्पोनेंट चीन के डेटा वापस भेजता है। ‘मेड इन भारत’ स्टिकर के साथ करोड़ों डूब जाएँगे। अतः, प्रवेश वर्मा जी से आग्रह है कि बाबुओं के चक्कर में न पड़ें, इसमें सिक्योरिटी एक्सपर्ट्स को सम्मिलित करें और जो कैमरा पूर्णतः भारतीय हो, जिसमें चायनीज रेडियो आदि न हों, वही लगवाएँ। यह घोटाला करने का नया अवसर न बने, इस पर ध्यान रहे।

We keep paying taxes & they waste the money in corruption. For one mistake they punish us tax payers with huge fines.
