Here’s the dark truth about self improvement that no one talks about:
You may become the best version of yourself - but as soon as you learn about what you ‘should’ be doing…
For example:
- I should be reading
- I should be exercising
- I should be getting up early
It creates this mental checklist.
That if we don’t do everything on that list then we use it as ammunition.
That you use against yourself.
The truth is self-improvement alone is not going to satisfy you.
Self- improvement is only part of the journey.
The other half which is vital for growth is self acceptance.
Accepting where you are right now
Accepting every small and big win
Learning from your losses and enjoying the now.

The best things in life happen on the side quests.
-- Pick one goal and hustle to death to achieve it.
-- Cut out all distractions and focus only on one thing.
As popular as that is right now, the most meaningful things in life are found on the detours you take.
I have a friend who's a great programmer but also spent a lot of time learning how to play the guitar. It eventually landed him a high paying job because the CEO was also a guitar player.
A more popular example being Steven Jobs and the calligraphy class he took which helped him design the fonts used in Macintosh.
The side quests that initially look like distractions end up being the edge you need.

@EntropicEmber What I most the most are the crappy, disgusting, borderline unreadable blogs of people discussing the most mind bending ideas.

There's a sense of bittersweet afterthought looking back into the palace that was "early 2000 internet".
Low-connectedness, high-collectivism and monetization potential at it's all time lowest. That is where you find not only soul but a visceral experience - digital or reality.
The same reason you may feel enriched in a foriegn shithole. It's something disconnected - unique in it's idiosyncracies, unlikely you'd desire to emulate but you can appreciate from a distance (or close up).
I remember the cascade of microcosm of simply being on the internet. You didn't compartmentalize to a specific interest-related groups (Money Twitter, Subreddits etc).
It was form of pacifistic tribalism. You'd enter into someone's domain literally and figuratively. Enjoy their wares and comments - sometimes write something in passing and be on your way.
Now everything is SEO-optimized brain smoothening funnel content. The joys of a beach is just a way to get a depressed retard at his job to join your newsletter.
I remember when I watched a man with a most impressive afro, nunchucks in hand fail a back flip and flail wildly. It just isn't like that these days.
That world encapsulated in that CRT block of otherwordlyness is lost.

@ZachRock17 I've reduced the time I spend on X. Channelling everything I have towards YouTube.
Better scripts, better speaking, better editing, better videos.
Quality over quantity this year.

Is it just me or does the creator economy feel different this year?
I've noticed a recurring pattern during discussions with creators.
Here's what I plan on doing:
1) Long-form posts with story-telling frameworks.
2) Short-form videos for virality on other platforms.
3) Work with clients and people outside of X.
4) More Drum n Bass
5) Consistent high-quality inputs into my weekly projects: podcast & newsletter.
What's your strategy for this year?

@i_am_claudio_ "Always choose the path that maximises your freedom"
I always keep that at the back of my mind when making decisions.

Know thyself.
What a simple yet incredibly difficult task.
As Peter Drucker says,
"Most people think they know what they are good at. They are usually wrong. More often, people know what they are not good at - and even then more people are wrong than right"
1.5 years in high ticket sales has forced me to take painful looks in the mirror at my shortcomings.
And they were all based on deep rooted limiting beliefs that I wasn't even aware of.
Like reopening wounds that didn't heal properly that needed just a little more love.
But what I've realized is that when I lack a definite purpose.
I get distracted incredibly easily.
I chase the fast dollar.
I don't think long term.
And I become reactive to my circumstances.
But when I know exactly what I need to do.
There's no stopping me.
So I had to dig deep. Because now I've reached a point where I’m thinking,
"Is high ticket sales what I want?" or is it a stepping stone into something better?
I made sure I allowed myself time with this question.
I let it marinate in my mind.
Then my intuition finally answered with a question
"What does freedom mean to me?"
And what came up first was surprising.
It wasn't to make a million dollars…
It wasn’t to travel the world..
It wasn’t to party and drink…
It's to have the autonomy to freely pursue my ideas.
Making millions won't be a bad byproduct but I see the path I’m on right now and I can see it’s evolving into something new.
So here it is…
“The Freelosopher”
Documenting my path to freedom and autonomy.
Filled with nothing but absolute value to help you do the same.
I made a youtube channel.
Finally hit over 100 subs.
Nothing notable… yet.
But with definite purpose this will grow into an umbrella where all my ideas can live under.
So here's the latest video: I’ll drop it in the next tweet.
