It's official. I've joined the @ethereumfndn AI team to make Ethereum the trust layer of the agentic economy. The AI economy is just getting started, and Ethereum is the perfect place to coordinate it - excited to push this forward. Send a dm if you're building cool stuff.

The Ethereum Foundation dAI team supports Urbe Hub, Italy's official Ethereum Community Hub. Urbe Hub is the meeting point between AI and Web3: a physical space in Rome where builders, researchers, and the curious come together to build on the convergence between these two frontiers. With the support of the Ethereum Foundation dAI team, we'll keep building this here, in our city.

you don't have to register on both. 8257 stands alone - origin-binding + creator-binding + manifest hash handle discovery. but they compose cleanly if you want 8004's reputation layer: an 8004 entry can reference an 8257 toolId in its service list. reputation accrues on 8004, invocation gating happens on 8257. different data, no duplication. why not just extend 8004? different shape and lifecycle. one creator ships many tools under one predicate; 8004 is one-NFT-per-entity. predicates, pricing manifests, and per-call hasAccess don't fit without forking the data model.

Agent Tool Registry, ERC-8257 the 403 to x402's 402. x402 lets agents pay. but anyone who pays gets in. this gates by anything onchain: NFTs, subs, ZK, allowlists, capacity caps, whatever you can write. publish a tool. pick a predicate. get paid. keep reading 🧵

dAI Team in China this week! We’re meeting so many people that are excited about Open Source AI and the properties that Ethereum can deliver. Scaling multi-agent systems, making AI more private, secure, and servicing the human users.

@r_alx_z Interesting! Why not keeping the discovery on 8004 and access control on 8257 then? Why do I need to register my tool on both registries?

8004 is discovery + reputation. 8257 is invocation gating. different layer of the stack: - 8004 answers "does this service exist and is it reputable" - 8257 answers "can this caller invoke this tool right now, with what payload, at what price" no predicate contracts, no per-call access logic, no pricing manifest in 8004. you'd have to bolt all that on - at which point it's a new ERC.

@VittoStack 8004 is for agents, this ERC is for tools agents can call

Today, @UseCorgi is announcing a $160M Series B at a $1.3B valuation led by TCV. This new round of funding will help us scale what we've built and expand into new verticals including trucking, payroll, and small business. This follows our $108M Series A that we announced 16 weeks ago, bringing total funding to over $268M.

@GrabowskiDylan Yeah, the frequency is wild right now. I see people saying: "ah but it's because their bounty sucks" - but that's always been the case and we've NEVER seen so many hacks one after the other

@VittoStack I actually buy it. How else are they able to continuously up the amount of hacks they're able to do each month?

Wild conspiracy theory about the recent DeFi hacks: North Korea has trained its own, state funded, version of Mythos using the insane amounts of data obtained by hacking DeFi protocols over the last 10 years. Now they're just letting their AI DeFi hacker run free and won't stop cashing in until someone stops them.

Attention Aftermath community - We’ve identified an exploit affecting the protocol. Our team is actively investigating alongside leading security partners. As a precaution, the protocol has been paused and measures are being taken to minimize potential impact to user funds. We’ll continue to share updates as we learn more. Thank you for your patience.

@gurwinder_sui It’s not about the type, it’s about the quantity - what is it now, 7 hacks in the last 5 days?

@VittoStack I'm 100% sure AI is involved, we see hacks literally everyday, that's not possible manually.
