I tricked my body into getting tired and going to sleep on time! I had insomnia for 2 months. I eventually gave into it and just slept all day, which I could easily do. After 5 days of that, I rotated my schedule back to sleeping at night and now I get tired and sleep! #MECFS

@ibdgirl76 Just had emergency gallbladder surgery. For planned surgery, I wean my dose over 4+ months to where the hospital will provide some pain control . This being an emergency, that wasn’t possible. My worst nightmare—the pain on waking up was indescribably horrific.

If you are on daily opioids, whether that is for pain or for opioid use disorder, good luck getting your pain treated with an acute issue. Sometimes the hospitals will even cut you off of your medication instead of giving extra putting you both in immediate withdrawal and also untreated pain.

I was in PM for 14 years and had a new issue come up in 2022. Went to the ortho dr and after x-rays they told me I needed to have both of my shoulders completely replaced. Recommend postponing surgery as long as possible due to age and pursuing pm. Pain progressed steadily over the next few months until blood pressure reached 190/130, splitting headaches and the shoulder pain felt like a nail was being driven directly into my should socket. Despite being an ideal cpp for 14 years not 1 of the 12 drs I went to would increase my pain rx. It was hell. The system is sadistic and I lost all hope in it getting better

September is #PainAwarenessMonth lets continue to bring attention to those who have chronic pain each and every day.. I can't imagine having to deal with that on a daily basis. We need more empathy and compassion for these patients!!

This isn't about opioid elimination, it's about better pain control, they say. Look at 1 of 3 solutions to the "opioid crisis" from this nonprofit in RI. I am so sure forcing all women in RI to have opioid free breast cancer surgery will do wonders to prevent OD.

@violentbloom @DafoeWhitney I read in Whitney’s writings that he improved significantly on Abilify but the benefits stopped after 2 years. I don’t know how he did with it when he tried restarting it last year. It’s essential to find out why treatments for ME/CFS stop working after initial success!
