I want to talk to fat people for a second. Not-fats can learn from this as well if they want. Two things from a person that has been very athletic, then fat, then got athletic again, then really fat again, and now working back to athletic: 1. We all project our experience onto everyone around us. Some people are built such that exercise and physical labor feels good and makes them happy. Some are built such that it feels bad and leaves them unhappy. It never occurs to people on one side of this spectrum that there are people on the other. Genetics heavily influence dopamine response, endorphins, and reward sensitivity. ~25% of people get little to no pleasure hit from exercise! People on the "feels good" side assume laziness or stupidity of the fats who are just choosing not to do something that's pretty easy and feels good. People on the "feels bad" side assume they are inferior, broken, or lazy because they imagine the other side is easily overcoming a huge battle. 2. It is objectively more difficult to perform the same physical labor when fat. A fit person jogging around the block is doing LESS WORK than a fat person walking. If you put a backpack with 225 extra pounds of weight on them, they'd be struggling to walk for an hour as well. So don't feel bad about yourself when you are just walking or doing what seems like the easy stuff. The important thing is that you are doing it... And also realize that you are doing it while also not having the advantage of being one of the "feels good" people.

The word "libertarianism" is being used to mean two totally different and incompatible political agendas. Free-Statism: "Let's design and implement a society where liberty, by which we mean individual control over our life circumstances, is maximized." Chaos-Worship: "Liberty means not being externally constrained from behaving however we want, so let's remove all external constraints on all human beings everywhere forever." Both these groups call themselves "libertarians", but they have nothing in common, because while they both revere a concept they refer to as "liberty", they have different methods, goals, and indeed totally different meanings for that word. Their only shared values are syntactic rather than semantic. @LPNH is a society of Free Statists. @Aella_Girl is a Chaos Worshipper. Chaos Worshippers see Free Statists as "not real libertarians" because they accept the idea of imposing external limitations on certain human beings, which they see as a necessary step for preserving the state of maximized liberty. Free Statists see Chaos Worshippers as childish morons whose agenda leads to vastly diminished liberty overall. The brutal irony of the whole situation is that not only would @Aella_Girl not be free if her policy ideals were realized, she is not even free now. She is a slave to her compulsions and addictions, which were inflicted upon her by others. But she is so not-free that she cannot even understand that everything she does today is controlled by the actions of those who hurt her. Instead, she believes her behavior is self-motivated, and fiercely resents anyone who tries to help her, for taking away her "freedom".
