Oleshky is not living — it is surviving. No drinking water. No electricity. No gas. People are counting every sip of water to survive one more day.
I have appealed to both Russia and the ICRC — demanding a humanitarian corridor and compliance with the Geneva Convention. Nearly a month has passed. Nothing has changed.
❗️This is not a consequence of war. This is deliberate terrorism by Russia against civilians. The @ICRC must move from observation to action. Every day of delay costs lives!

Today marks the anniversary of Bucha’s liberation.
Remember what “russian occupation” really meant.
This is the story of one of the few who survived.
Oleg, a volunteer at a Christian rehabilitation center, was captured by russian forces in March 2022.
They tortured him outside, blindfolded. “They brought people here and tortured them. I heard two girls being brought in.
One asked: why did you kill them so quickly? It would have been more fun if it had taken longer.”
Later, they threw Oleg into a well for two days — the same well where they later dumped the body of a tortured man.
Then they moved him to a barn, where an older man was held whose daughter had already been killed by russians.
On March 27, as the occupiers prepared to flee, one of them said: “God has heard your prayers.” He pointed to a tree: a bag with the daughter’s name. “I kept my promise — I didn’t throw her into the pit.”
Oleg survived. Many didn’t.
Remember the stories of those who survived russian terror — and those who never got the chance to tell theirs.

I wonder how many Ukrainian drones will have to land in NATO territory before people accept this is a flight route to strike targets in Russia?
AMK Mapping 🇳🇿@AMK_Mapping_
A Ukrainian drone crashed in the Kastre Rural Municipality of southeastern Estonia as they were flying to attack Russia's Ust-Luga Port. Locals reported the sound of a drone over their houses, before explosions. Additionally, during the night, air alerts were issued for Parnu in western Estonia, around 180 km from the Russian border. Ukrainian drones have now crashed in NATO territory during 4 out of the 5 Ukrainian attacks on Russia's Baltic Sea Ports. This is additional evidence that some Ukrainian drones are utilising NATO airspace during their flight paths to evade Russian air defence.

Kind reminder that before dog-walking the "2nd strongest army in the world" for 4 years, this is what the Ukrainian military was best known for:

Tonight here in Bucha, we are holding a night of remembrance.
561 civilians were killed here over 33 days of fighting and Russian occupation. Across the entire territorial community surrounding the city, more than 1,000 people died during that time.
Hundreds were shot by Russian soldiers, and the bodies of many lay in the streets and against walls for weeks, until Russia's defeat and the return of Ukrainian forces to the city, along with the global media.
And the name of this comfortable, prosperous suburb of Kyiv among the woods became a shocking symbol of atrocity and inhumanity, images that went around the world.
This is the church in the center of Bucha, next to which a mass grave of 67 bodies was found. During the occupation, people buried their dead as best they could -- like this, in a pit beside a church.
Every day I can see that church from my home in the distance, and every time, I remember how we were present at the terrible exhumation of that enormous grave. That's something I would want to forget forever.
A memorial complex now stands on that spot.
