Reform UK’s @RobertJenrick is campaigning against the poor work of Nottinghamshire Council.
Has anyone told him Nottinghamshire Council is Reform UK-run?

We are tired of baseless “racist” labels on @GoodwinMJ.
He’s the one canvassing daily in Gorton & Denton, listening to locals of all backgrounds fed up with open borders and neglect.
Britishness unites us through values—not division. Back him on 26 February—Reform for real people! #GortonAndDenton @Nigel_Farage

I would have paid to watch them knocking the doors in Denton 🤣

🚨TRUE or FALSE with Matt Goodwin🚨
Q: "did you say you don’t like Manchester?"
❌ FALSE.
I said I didn’t enjoy being at the Tory conference in Manchester. Labour selectively edited a speech to make it look like it was about Manchester.
Q: "is it true you have no links to Manchester?"
❌ FALSE.
I’ve been coming to Manchester since I was 12. My father lived here, as did my mother.
His side of the family are from Salford. My grandfather worked at the James Norton steel factory on Silk Street. I went to Salford uni (2000-2003), worked in Burnage, and came back to Manchester to work for the Uni (2007-2014). I lived in Castlefield.
Q: "Aren't you a posh southern academic, that's what Hannah Spencer & the Greens say?"
❌ FALSE.
I was raised by a single-mum who was a member of Gingerbread and we went on holiday each year to a Unison holiday camp. I worked since I was 15. I went to a state school. I was the first person in my family to go to uni and worked hard to become a professor. I am proud of this. The Left used to celebrate social mobility.
Q: “if I vote for you, you won’t live here right?
❌FALSE.
I'm already in Gorton & Denton every day. If you elect me I will live here, in the seat.
Q: “do you want to tax women who don’t have children?"
❌FALSE.
I wrote a blog which summarised the ideas of Dr Paul Morland, a leading expert on demography.
Paul set out many policy ideas to try and tackle our demographic crisis. We are not having enough children.
I did not advocate specific policies but said we should debate all his ideas. The Left misrepresented this to make it appear I was personally demanding a specific policy. They are trying to mislead you.
Q: “did you say people not born in Britain can never really be British?”
❌FALSE.
This is also misinformation.
What I said is citizenship is not the same thing as belonging and belonging requires more than a piece of paper.
Citizens should feel an emotional bond to a country and its people, a connection that keeps us bound together in this place we all call home.
This is not about race - it is about whether people feel a sense of responsibility and obligation to their fellow citizens.
Many minority Brits feel this deep bond. They are canvassing with me in Gorton and Denton right now.
But some do not.
I pointed this out in reference to major terrorist attacks like the 7/7 bombings, the Manchester Evening News (MEN) Arena bombing, the Southport massacre and the Huntington train stabbing.
Why?
Because it's clear to me the people who committed these sickening acts rejected that bond and their membership of our national community.
They feel no connection to our shared home. Worse: some even hate who we are.
I simply do not believe they are as British as the children and parents they murdered.
And I will never change my view about that, no matter how much Labour, the Greens and the Left complain. I will not be bullied into changing my view.
Q: “don’t you agree with Tommy Robinson?”
❌ False.
I cannot do anything about who does or does not endorse my campaign.
Much like Labour seemingly cannot do much about how it has won support from politicians and Labour-run councils with links to the grooming gangs and/or paedophilia, like the Greens with their support from antisemites and like extreme left groups like Hope Not Hate with their links to a known sex offender.
I avoid these guilt-by-association attacks because they are disingenuous
Reform UK has made it clear this campaigner is not welcome in the party.
I have made it clear I am only interested in winning the endorsement of the people of Gorton and Denton.
Q: “do you really care about Gorton & Denton?”
✅ TRUE.
As I said at my launch, I am not a Tory, I am not a career politician. I am just sick and tired of watching ordinary, hardworking, law-abiding people be treated like second-class citizens in their own country. This theme has run through my work for 20 years. I will always stand up for people who are being pushed aside.
Vote Reform, Get Starmer Out, put Gorton & Denton first.

Hi Lucy
I’d reply but your replies are off 🤡
I reject all extremism
Can I also ask:
Why has your Labour Party promoted so many people with links to paedophiles and turned a blind eye to the abuse of children?
Come back to me when you have your own house in order
Matt
Lucy Powell MP@LucyMPowell
The Reform candidate in Gorton and Denton is backed by Tommy Robinson. His campaign team includes those with extreme, racist views. My letter calling on Matthew Goodwin to reject their support. 👇🏻
English

@StevenJonMiller On that basis, a Reform / Restore coalition propped up by the Tories is more likely.

@Keir_Starmer You don't have to fight Keir - you just need to resign.
That's what’s best for our country, for the British people, and for our way of life.
