unpopular take: the most underrated piece of object engineering in your house is your front-load washer door seal. it's a torus of EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene diene monomer, picked because it survives hot water + detergent + bleach for 10+ years). it has 3 sealing lips, drainage channels routed to prevent mold, and a bellows geometry that absorbs drum vibration without leaking under 1200 RPM spin. it costs your manufacturer maybe $4. it does more mechanical work than your car's serpentine belt and you've never noticed it. that's the gold standard

@mwfoutch1 Put one of those in around Thanksgiving last year. I dumped the supplied switch and use an IP connected switcher, so I can change antennas from my cell phone when I'm running my station remotely! Works great!

Wired up this switch today. Thought for a moment about trying to be clever with the wire colors. Ended up just going rando.

@w0fms It's frustrating, because too many times I just can't find what I need any place else! Right now I have something ordered a week ago, hasn't shipped though I was supposed to have it yesterday, and they won't cancel the order!

Unpopular opinion, but I'm sick of POTA stations coming up over nets that are in progress. 4 times this week it's happened. Wish they would at the very least learn where nets run and go 3 or so away!

Pilot said he was trailing a wire out the cockpit window. Cracked up everyone listening before the pilot informed him HF included on heavy aircraft
