OTD 2018 8 years ago today, the following six players made their final appearance for Wrexham in the 0-0 home draw to AFC Fylde. Boden, Dunn, Kelly and Mackreth were all released by new manager Sam Ricketts. Quigley returned to Blackpool and Wedgbury signed for Chesterfield.

OTD 1984 Northampton Town 3-3 Wrexham Div. 4 42 years ago today saw our first visit to the County Ground since 1976. After going three goals down to The Cobblers, Wrexham managed to fight back for a much needed point in their battle against re-election. #WxmAFC #NTFC

A very Happy 67th Birthday to the great Mel Pejic 🎂🎉 Joining the club the week after we beat Arsenal, Mel played well over 100 league games for Wrexham. He then went on to be Head Physio at the club for 14 years, whilst also working with the Welsh squad. Penblwydd Hapus Mel!

OTD 1999 Fulham 1-1 Wrexham 27 years ago today saw the last time we visited Craven Cottage. The Cottagers had secured the L1 title just days before and Michael Jackson had visited earlier in the month. Connolly scored a pen after Chalk was fouled, with @Paul_Pesch equalising.

OTD 1991 Hereford Utd 1-2 Wrexham Welsh Cup Semi Final 2nd Leg 35 years ago today, we played the second leg at Edgar Street after a 1-1 draw at home. Andy Preece and a first cup goal for 17yo Lee Jones took us through to the final. @peterheritage11 made it a nervy ending!
