The white Justices are simply not judged in the same way. When they make a dissent that people see as loopy, they nonetheless receive a modicum of respect. It's only the Justices of color who get attacked as "stupid" for this.

One more response to people saying Justice Jackson is stupid. One of the claims is that she's too stupid to know her dissent in Chiles today is inconsistent with prior cases. Well, Justice Alito once issued a lone dissent in a big case completely inconsistent with prior cases.

That is from some 30 years ago when Tiger in his amateur days sought Norman’s advice on playing Augusta during practice rounds. It’s nuanced but their relationship soured as Tiger’s pro career progressed.
