@easanet Rotherham Minster Church of All Saints, South Yorkshire, discovered decaying masonry, which threatened the Great West Window. With Walker Cunnington Architects, they restored the stonework, which conserved the window and reduced the building’s carbon footprint.

Researching for a project at St James, Doncaster (1858) came across #StJamesBoston (c.1864 demolished 1972) - in photo - which is remarkably similar architecturally. There is a connection with EB Denison (Lord Grimthorpe) but does anyone have any other photos? @thevicsoc

Yes, great job @old_scarborough. Here's a recent photo for comparison. Most of the alterations took place in c.1924 and the b+w photo dates from c.1904 when the building was the excursion station for day trippers to Scarborough. @OldScarborough @RailwayHeritage

8th - 18th Sept we’re celebrating the history of the OPO as an Excursion Station. ‘When The Railway Came To Town’ will chart the growth of Scarborough as seaside resort from 1845 through enlarged historical maps, postcards, memorabilia and contemporary art.

The scaffolding is down, and the Farmhouse is looking majestic! Thanks to funding from @HistoricEngland, @mkcouncil and MKCDC, the renovation works are now complete, and plans to transform the interior into a visitor centre, shop and education hub are in full swing (1/2)
