@JoshNorris Just saying, Bryce really thrived with big play receivers at Alabama that are built like and win in ways that Concepcion wins. Not really on the roster at the moment.

very good read from Joe and notable that Canales says the Panthers want to bring in players "that will complement what Bryce does" - when their only WR/RB/TE addition has been John Metchie expecting a top three round pick to be spent at one of those spots, if not 19 overall

Spent some time with Dave Canales at the owners meetings. He was reflective on a number of topics, from Dan Morgan’s roster-building, Bryce Young’s future, Xavier Legette’s offseason and lunch with Kenny Pickett at Fat Head’s Saloon. Lunchtime read: nytimes.com/athletic/71594…

@thaRBW There seems to be some willful ignorance around Sadiq’s ability to be an every down big play threat. Whether that’s blocking, on the LOS or out of the backfield, or as a catch and run/downfield threat. He’s a 4.4 athlete that blocks his ass off. Worth it.

@acosta32_jp Reading this tweet had me watching Coker film all night, and later jumping for joy when we signed him after the draft. Good call.

Tetairoa McMillan's movement skills at his size are unreal. Running over the safety was a nice finishing touch on the play.

@JoshNorris It was always clear Bryce’s tools meant playing a certain style of offense, and the talent isn’t present around him to make up for the rookie mistakes and adjustments. He has to play perfect football for the offense to barely function.

Panthers have zero margin for error right now and they're making errors in every game

@BillyM_91 Not a great 40 time, but the testing matches his play style. Great jumps with sudden movement, and knows how to use those long arms. Should be a fun red zone player.

Dontayvion Wicks has a chance to be a steal. Production and flashes were apparent in 2021, but had some adjustment issues with the new offense in 2022.

@PanthersAnalyst Tillman really feels like a Reich type. Big and strong, but explosive and has some YAC. Could become a great receiver for slants, crossers, and downfield throws.

@TheSportzNutt Agreed. There’s something to be said for Bryce Young’s floor as an instinctual playmaker, but the upside of Stroud as an elite pocket passer is appealing too. Both can work on this roster — it’ll be about the structural and personality fit (I think they lean CJ).

No matter who we get. We’re in good shape. Young and Stroud both balled out. Both showed everyone who claimed this was a “bad QB” class, wrong. I’m just excited to see this team when this coaching staff gets ahold of either Bryce or Stroud to build around.

@JRodNFLDraft I think it’s fair to say Fields is the top guy. Perhaps he lacks the natural accuracy and placement of Stroud, but he has a tremendously strong arm, was very accurate at OSU, and has top tier athleticism. As we saw in the second half of the season, Fields is an elite rusher.

@TheFF_Educator 10 man Super flex league — I’m looking at 1.5, 1.7, and 1.9. What prospects line up with those slots in your rankings?

In honor of #GodzillaDay I think it’s only right that I drop my passion project. Wrote this with my film maker friend over at @TohoKingdom, Chris Mirjahangir Monarch: G-Team. Takes elements from KOTM and goes its own way. Let them know the people want it. @ProjNautilusCos -art

@Nat_NFLDraft How do they acquire Jimmy G? Limited capitol to trade away this season. Are we looking at trading away yet another future draft piece?

@1PantherPlace Do you think an improvement in record (say 9 wins but they miss the playoffs), would be enough to save Rhule’s job? Seems safe to assume Watson would add some W’s to our record, but Rhule’s poor team building track record would suggest we may end up stuck in mediocrity.

Right, there are layers to this. It’s a philosophical question at this point. Prioritize a franchise QB, part ways with a couple of young starters + 5 or 6 picks, and land a top-5 QB today? Or, keep your core together, and hope you find another Watson before next decade?
