@RaymondDoerr The gas tax taxes you on the amount of gas you use, which correlates strongly with the number of miles you drive. The EV tax should do the same, which means they should be reading your odometer. They should not be pulling a random number out of their backsides. Grr.

@WalterBright Nostalgia: in the mid-late ‘80s, I was a grad student at UW. My housemates and I had been playing Empire on the VAX at school and heard you’d been working on a multiplayer version. A couple of us showed up at your door and bought a copy of what you had. We played it for years!

Found a long-lost box of about 30 zip disks in the basement. Haven't seen it in 23 years. Found the drive for it, and have been copying the files off of it. It's an interesting (for me anyway) time capsule of what I was working on at the time. It includes the original document describing what #dlang would be. It's great that the drive and the disks still work fine!
