I visited the field hospital of the Emergency Medicine and Support Centre in Tripoli, currently in its pilot phase ahead of its official inauguration in the coming weeks. The facility reflects promising progress in strengthening emergency preparedness and response capacities in #Libya. It includes emergency, critical care, surgical, and diagnostic services, supported by logistical systems designed to operate in remote settings and emergency situations, in line with WHO standards for Emergency Medical Teams. This initiative also represents an important step toward developing national emergency medical teams and enhancing rapid response capabilities across the country. Investing in national capacities for emergency preparedness and response is essential for building resilient health systems. @WHO continues to support Libya's efforts to strengthen these capacities and improve access to emergency care for all.
