@CoachReedLive For some guys in my generation it was that relationship with the college coach that changed their life. And the steady movement of coaches and players in the college landscape and the transactional nature of recruiting is risking that. Just my two cents!

S&C coaches, sound familiar… When you first started out, you couldn’t wait to implement all of the fancy training methods you learned about. But, eventually you realised the fancy stuff is a very small part of what athletes need & keeping it simple, 99% of the time, is the go.

A reminder to all S&C coaches… Just because another coach does things differently to you, that doesn’t necessarily mean either of you are wrong. Don’t be insecure & attack someone because they do things differently to you. Ask questions. Have a discussion, not an argument.

Female Athletes have the biggest advantage to gain from Strength Training because most programs still aren’t doing it. When Female Athletes get Stronger: 1. Lower Injury Rates 2. Increased Speed 3. Increased Power 4. Greater Throwing Velocity 5. Stronger Bones Make them STRONG

HS sport coaches. In the weight-room. They aren’t football or basketball or baseball players. They are just adolescent athletes. General physical development is the focus, not sport development.

HS athletics is not professional sports. There are too many outside sources that are using kids for financial gain. The concept isn’t complex and it shouldn’t be. A high school kid should simply go to the school zoned to his residence. #keepitsimple

The vast majority of college athletes really need the education that is attached to the scholarship. Let’s try to never lose sight of that.

We’ve got to put an end to treating every level below D1 like it’s not worth your time. Like it’s not something to be extremely proud of. Playing at ANY level after high school is extremely hard, I don’t think people truly grasp that.

Freshman & sophomores go to these prospect camps! Get used to how prospect camps operate and get all your mistakes out the way. Once your junior & senior year comes you’ll be used to camping and ready to perform when it counts the most.

Playing multiple sports in HS will only help any athlete’s development. Why specialize in just one sport if you’re good at multiple? Finding time to lift & condition to make up for off season time lapse is key. College shouldn’t be an athlete’s 1st time in the weight room.

Stop letting people make you believe that a 4.6 or 4.7 in the 40 isn't fast for a high school football athlete.
