TWO WISCONSIN LAWMAKERS MAY BE ILLEGALLY LIVING OUTSIDE THEIR DISTRICTS Two Wisconsin Republicans may be living outside of their legislative districts and potentially violating state law requiring lawmakers to live within the district they were elected to represent. bit.ly/40Te8jk

I want to take a moment to recognize the countless people who fought for and won postpartum Medicaid expansion in Wisconsin. This win means that women in our state will keep their healthcare for a full year rather than 60 days after giving birth. This win will save lives.

Moms and their families, advocates across the state, and Legislative Democrats fought for postpartum Medicaid expansion for years. This week, Assembly Democrats refused to take no for an answer and effectively stopped legislative business to force a vote on this bill.

Assembly Democrats were unified, determined, and frankly, relentless. I am so proud to have been part of this moment and so relieved that we will soon see this critical bill signed into law.

It’s the end of a long week here in Madison, but there is more work for us to do to lower costs for Wisconsinites. Before the legislative session ends, join me in calling on Republican to do better for the people of our state.

A Democratic trifecta is within reach, and people across WI are energized and ready to help flip the Assembly. Our historic fundraising numbers show that voters are fed up with the partisan games from Legislative Republicans and ready for change.

Yesterday, my Democratic colleagues and I held a press conference acknowledging our firm support for reinstating measures to share video recording of legislative proceedings with constituents in each corner of the state.

Committee chairs are beginning to restrict public access to proceedings. I will continue to fight for transparency in the Capitol.

Before winter break, I had the opportunity to join the Beloit NAACP in assembling food bags for students in the Beloit School District. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support our kids. Let’s continue that support throughout 2026.

Kids, families and elderly people will go hungry if they don't get their SNAP benefits this week. The Trump Administration must abide by this ruling and direct the USDA to immediately begin processing November benefits for people across the country.

Nearly 700,000 Wisconsinites use FoodShare, 260,000 of which are children. As the government shutdown continues, my office will continue to share resources and information on FoodShare benefits. (5/5)
