Police have increased patrols following the rape of a woman in Bristol city centre at the weekend, as images of four men wanted in connection with the incident are released. The attack occurred in the Assembly Rooms Lane area on Sunday, March 29 at approximately 3.05am, Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed. A major investigation has since been launched, with the men thought to have travelled to the eastern part of the city between 3.30am and 4am. The victim informed police that the suspects are thought to be Indian with one wearing a Sikh Turban and in their twenties to thirties.

Our biology is not your label. Our suffering is not your kink. Our bodies are not your costume. If a straight cisgender woman was hired as a transgender representative, the trans community would be outraged. So why is it okay for a man to be hired for a woman’s job? We deserve advocates and representatives who actually understand us. Our bodies. Our disease. Our choice. If you were born with a penis, you will never know what it’s like to be a woman.
