Another powerful night in Milan. What I’m seeing across Europe is impossible to ignore. People are no longer afraid to ask bigger questions about who shaped the pandemic response, who benefited from it, and why so many voices were silenced along the way.

More than 280 million people around the world are prescribed psychiatric drugs. This is despite 100 international regulatory warnings citing violent and suicidal behaviour as possible side effects. But that doesn’t stop psychiatrists reaching for their prescription pads again and again. It is not ok that the “state” using our money have bought houses to give to people for free, who are coming to Ireland for the free stuff, while we have so many of our own who are emigrating because they can’t afford a house here! Make it make sense!!

Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan confirms that his Department owns dozens of residential houses for accommodating asylum seekers, but says these were previously bought under Roderic O'Gorman's Department of Integration, and that "I don't have any intention of procuring more".

@fatima_gunning If this wasn't about the cause of Ireland's death, you'd get the sense of 'If Carlsberg did clown town comedy' about this video, and say, for once, Carlsberg had really gone and 'did' it.

I completely agree with Fatima Gunning. The Department of Justice is prioritising private homes and stateowned properties for asylum seekers, including those from safe countries with highly questionable claims, while ordinary Irish families cannot get on the property ladder or even find emergency accommodation in our own ancestral homeland. The housing crisis is now at breaking point. The state spent over €1.2 billion on asylum accommodation in 2025 alone, even as new applications hovered around 13,000. Net migration reached nearly 60,000 in the year to April 2025, pushing the total population higher while more than 17,000 people, including families, remain homeless and social-housing waiting lists exceed 110,000 households. Irish citizens are being forced to wait years for homes that the government is handing over to non citizens. It goes far beyond housing. Grifters and EUdriven policies are plundering our national resources at an alarming rate. Irish fisheries face savage quota cuts under the Common Fisheries Policy, potentially costing €200 million and thousands of coastal jobs, with even the old Hague Preferences now stripped away so foreign fleets can take what belongs to our people. Farmers are strangled by Brussels bureaucracy and CAP rules that put ideology ahead of food security and the land our forefathers worked. Our forests and fields are locked into green deals that limit local control, while private contractors pocket billions from the asylum industry itself. Many of the people arriving have neither the ability nor the intention of integrating. Non EU migrants show higher at risk of poverty rates, around 25% compared with 17 % for Irish born and EU citizens, along with persistent welfare dependency and localised problems with crime and public order in some communities. Its a betrayal. It is reckless policy that erodes the social cohesion and traditional way of life that built our nation .The EU Migration and Asylum Pact kicking in on 12 June 2026 only makes things worse. Ireland has opted into most of its measures, including the so-called solidarity quotas that could force us to accept hundreds more relocations each year. We are handing even more control to Brussels at the exact moment we need full national authority over our borders and the future of our children. Demographically the outlook is frightening. The 2022 Census showed White Irish at just 77 per cent of the population, down sharply from 87.4 per cent in 2006. With our total fertility rate stuck below replacement at around 1.5 and high non EU migration continuing, projections point to native Irish becoming a minority by 2040 under current trends. This is not scaremongering; it is simple mathematics on births, deaths and inflows that threaten the very soul of Ireland. We cannot keep going like this. Irish people must come first in our own country, on housing, resources, integration and borders. The time for polite silence is over. We need to demand real change through votes, local pressure and unrelenting accountability before the Ireland our ancestors fought and prayed for disappears for good.

You can come to Ireland from a safe country, make a bogus asylum claim, and the department of justice has purchased private homes you may get to live in at the expense of Irish people who are likely struggling to afford a home. Great.

Even if your likely bogus claim is rejected, you have teams of taxpayer funded lawyers at your disposal who can drag things out so long that you’re eventually given leave to remain! This system rewards scammers.

The Occupied Territories will be brought before Cabinet for government approval, with the aim of enacting it before the summer. The bill was first proposed in 2018 and would ban trade from Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. jrnl.ie/7051436

All credit to Nicola’s astonishing lack of curiosity. £125,000 caravan in the driveway next to the new Jaguar? Perfectly normal. Particularly like the £2,500 Lalique crystal salt and pepper set. How do we manage with one?
