@aqueenofmagic CORRECTION - David Bowie also performed at Wembley Stadium, not in Philly. The only performer to appear at both Wembley and in Philadelphia on July 13, 1985 was Phil Collins. (This is a real photo, not AI, and there are many others like it of Freddie and Bowie at Live Aid.)

The backstage meeting between Freddie Mercury and David Bowie during Live Aid in 1985 has become one of those unforgettable moments in rock history. Live Aid, held on July 13, 1985, was organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia, and it brought together an astonishing lineup of artists. Queen performed at Wembley Stadium, delivering what many consider the greatest live performance ever, while David Bowie took the stage at the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. Even though they were on opposite sides of the Atlantic, both artists were central to the spirit of the event. Their backstage encounter captured the excitement and unity of the day. Freddie and Bowie had long admired each other, and fans still talk about the mutual respect that passed between them in that brief meeting. They were two trailblazers, each with a bold style and unmatched presence, sharing a moment behind the scenes of a concert that changed music history. While their exact conversation remains unknown, the image of these two icons together continues to symbolize the magic of Live Aid and the powerful connection between some of rock’s greatest legends. #FreddieMercury #DavidBowie #LiveAid #Queen

Chris Espinosa is Apple’s longest-serving employee. He joined the company in 1976 at just 14 years old, writing BASIC code when Apple was still operating out of Steve Jobs’ garage. Chris Espinosa holds the unique distinction of being Apple’s longest-serving employee, having joined the company in 1976 at just 14 years old. A Bay Area teenager fascinated by computers, he began working alongside Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak when Apple was still run out of Jobs’ parents’ garage in Los Altos, California. While attending high school, Espinosa wrote BASIC code and helped create user manuals for the Apple II, one of Apple’s earliest and most influential machines. His employee badge number—8—underscores just how early he became part of the company’s journey. Over nearly five decades, Espinosa has watched Apple grow from a tiny startup into one of the world’s most valuable corporations. He has worked under every CEO in Apple’s history and contributed across software, developer tools, and documentation. Despite countless opportunities elsewhere, he remained loyal, often quipping that he “joined Apple before it was a company.” Today, his career stands as a living connection to Apple’s origins and a rare example of lifelong dedication in Silicon Valley.

CHANGING THE BLUEPRINT: Celebrity real estate broker Ryan Serhant opens up to Fox News Digital about the affordability crisis in America, and why young people aiming to buy a home need to adjust expectations. "The old baseline of affordability where the median-income buyer could reasonably plan to own a house, I think, is gone for most of the country."

@arc_anjil @FoxNews Nope. Much worse. No resolution in sight mostly because politicians are weak and ineffective. There are actions to take, but greed is prevailing. Hedge Funds and large investors will make future generations impoverished renters.

@FoxNews We are going through what we went through in the late 70's with Carter's stagflation era. We were told we need to downsize our expectations. House design magazines were full of tiny "inexpensive" houses "for the future". Then the 80's happened...

@dan_that_guy1 @FoxNews The main problem is Hedge Funds and Black Rock, etc … buying up 25% or more of single family homes at rock bottom interest rates, while first time buyers can’t compete. Even MGT and JD Vance have talked about this, but politicians do nothing. This is the main problem.

@FoxNews let me know whenever we make real change. we have to outlaw companies like Black Rock and Vanguard from buying up houses. we've got to get rid of illegal immigrants. those two things will greatly improve the housing market.

@Tobylerone_8 @FoxNews Why do you and others say absolutely nothing about Hedge Funds buying up 25% or more of single family homes at rock bottom interest rates, while first time buyers can’t compete. Even MGT and JD Vance have talked about this, but politicians do nothing. This is the main problem.

@RealtorTown @FoxNews Where is the issue of Hedge Funds and other large entities buying up 25% or more of single family homes???? Why hide that factor like the politicians do?

The affordability issue has everything to do with interest rates and building regulations (Pacific Palisades), add the fact that moms and dads are cowering under inflation, car, health and home owner’s insurance costs which have doubled, jumping credit card rates and everything else associated with the autopen president. Cap credit card rates to 10% and cut the thirty year mortgage rates to 2.5%, cut government regulations for developed and builders. Arrest politicians swimming in corruption right before our eyes, remove judges habitually letting violent criminals back on the streets, safe streets = better jobs and actual progress, not regress, the democrats should call themselves Regressives.

@FrSteveGrunow @FoxNews Exactly. One only needs to read the headline to know this guy is either an idiot or a corporate tool. Even Marjorie Taylor Green spoke out about Hedge Funds and “Black Rock” buying up 25% of available single family homes. Even J D Vance talked about this during the election cycle

@FoxNews Such facile advice. The result of government induced inflation, over regulation, corporate greed and other factors which were all chosen and imposed on the American people is not just something citizens of this country should just have to “adapt” to.

Richard Gere was banned from the Oscars for 20 years after he denounced China's policies in Tibet while presenting in 1993. “I didn’t take it particularly personally,” Gere tells Variety. “I didn’t think there were any bad guys in the situation. I do what I do and I certainly don’t mean anyone any harm. I mean to harm anger. I mean to harm exclusion. I mean to harm human rights abuses, but I try to stay as close to where His Holiness comes from… that everyone is redeemable, and in the end, everyone has to be redeemed or none of us [are]. So in that sense, I don’t take it personally.” variety.com/2025/film/news…

@emillman87 @Jeevesthe2nd @billmaher Europe doesn’t allow “capitalism” to cram antibiotic-fed meat and GMOs etc down people’s throats to make a buck. All that crap is illegal in Europe. Plus they value life over work.

There’s a disturbing trend going on in America these days with rewriting science to fit ideology. We’ve gone from fat acceptance to fat celebration.

@TMAN1138pm Say what? Surely you work for Ticketmaster. Who isn’t outraged by this? I haven’t seen him since 1982 … but this is significant news. Something needs to change, and maybe this is a tipping point. Springsteen can’t be happy about this.

@ChocolateMolly I am with you here. I know Trans folks, including in my family. The last 16 minutes of that show was amazing. It really is a tribute for being inclusive - without “cancelling” people …. Because we all know that people can LEARN. it was a beautiful ending to the show. A genius!
