CHASED DOWN AND BEATEN; TU SAYS MOBS OF TEENS ASSAULT STUDENT INSIDE DORM Temple University officials are warning students to stay aware of their surroundings after a group of 9 teens chased a temple student into the lobby of Morgan Hall and “struck the student”. Officials also say that the group of teens damaged university property. The assault allegedly occurred on 04/19/26 at 02:50am. The student sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment. The University says they are “enhancing patrols” and working with the School District of Philadelphia to identify the offenders. The university did not provide a possible motive, or a reason why the teens would want to hurt a student. It is also unclear how the mob was able to breach current security protocols and gain access to the TU owned residence hall. Officials are asking with anyone with information on these offenders to contact police.
