@islanders_takes I don’t blame the coach. The coach shouldn’t have to correct Barzals back checking or stop him from making mistakes that you won’t see in beer leagues games.

#isles You'll notice I didn't say much about Barzal's errors last night. I just feel like it was pretty covered by all of you and honestly the entire team's emotional collapse and Roy's inability to call a timeout and try to settle things down struck me as more damning.

@IslesTerritory Probably not. The vets are way to casual about big games. They play just hard enough to be competitive. The veteran “leaders” have really let down the young guys.

#isles Losing Pulock is as close to a disaster as you can get headed into this stretch of games. But losing TDA turns lethal. Very few teams could absorb losing #1 and #2 out of the right side. But the Islanders certainly can't.

@ChrisBottaNHL Where were the team leaders? Maybe Darche should start looking for more followers? Schaefer is the leader but who followed him? Where was Shenn, Barzal, Lee, JPG, Cizikas, and Palat? The 18 years old kid was ready! None of these guys were.

#Isles need to honor the extraordinary seasons they’ve received from Matthew Schaefer and Ilya Sorokin by playing the best possible lineups for each of these last ten games, regardless of misguided acquisitions, veteran status or anything else. What a shame it will be if stubbornness from Darche and Roy costs them a berth when the team is good enough to make it and have the invaluable playoff experience.
