Something that bums me out if all of these “RETVRN” Chuds are so poorly read and understand nothing about history
They haven’t read the Stoics, Plato, Aristotle, the Bible, or anything really. The whole belief system is based off of, I assume, TikTok’s of what they THINK is in the Iliad and Odyssey.
All of the people complaining about WOKE in the odyssey don’t understand they are really complaining about the difference of a pre and post Jesus Christ era of the world which is also really a pre and post platonic world. In my part of Virginia, I still regularly hear the “o” pronunciation in words like “So”uth, “Oat”side, “Ho”use, D”o”wn, f”o”und, etc. It was common among my grandfather’s generation- a true remnant of the old days. Douglas Freeman’s middle name was “S’o’thall”, not “Sow-thall”.
