They're not in any danger if they've been here for 14 years are they? And you posts all otherwise suggest they would be happy in modern progressive Iran Isn't your paid obligation to Australian citizens? Yet you seem to detest those and spend all day advocating for people whom aren't. You can do that as a private citizen. What about all those citizens in gaol for weed or other non-crack substances? You need to do your job, not use your office to indulge in personal hobbies.

The Albanese Government must provide permanent protection now.
ASRC@ASRC1

Thank you to Senator @DavidShoebridge for taking the time to hear from our Iranian refugee delegation, all have been in limbo for nearly 14 years in Australia. They have a simple ask to be safe and be able to finally call Australia home. All have been recognised as refugees.

@JaneCaro No it's because both brains and beauty are considered rare if worthy of remark. Ergo to combine both is to remark on two rare traits in combination. You might have understood that had you ever been possessed of either.

Funny to read Albo is using his "weight" to try to secure fuel from Asia. Singapore refines but Asia's oil producers are unaligned Muslim countries where we parade as quick to approve Trump's war, the local Deputy Dawg for an increasingly Christian nationalist crudsader regime.

More taxes to reduce individuals ability to look to their own survival. We're past the tipping point. What good is more tax going to do, not like it translates to action. As a lobby that campaigns against nuclear energy, you've enabled more coal and gas. Surely you recognise that after all this time that's all AusInt has realistically achieved.

“As climate disasters intensify, the question isn’t whether we can afford to act. The real question is why Governments continue to allow the biggest climate vandals to avoid paying their fair share,” writes @WilkieMP. Read the full piece on The Point: theaus.in/4c0Hfri

False consensus. Did you take a survey of your own echo chamber then extrapolate that to everyone else? You choose novel beliefs because they are novel; block everyone who disagrees with you and claim consensus? You have no business using statistics. They're pretty easy to mislead people with and yet you still fail to be remotely persuasive

The mining of the Strait of Hormuz is a stark reminder that more ships have been sunk by mines than any other means. And yet our mine warfare capability is moribund. It's another example of how #AUKUS spending is undermining 🇦🇺 national security. #auspol navalnews.com/naval-news/202…

@DavidShoebridge What next Mr Shoebridge, protesting the plough? You know actual Australians are in detention on Prohibition charges, whilst police are strip searching women in search of 'vice' at music festivals. Maybe you would be better suited to Tehran

Incredible. Iran launches a missile in remembrance and in honor of Aaron Bushnell. Yesterday they did the same in revenge for Rachel Corrie. Iran is the only government to honor these American heroes, whose deaths have been ignored by US political and media Epstein class.

@Kon__K Please stop importing terrorism. We offered visas to the Iranian women's football team, most didn't accept them. No doubt they were potentially pressured. So riddle us this Konman, who would get the okay to seek asylum?

We have arrived at Parliament to meet with 15 Senators and MPs in two days, to advocate for Iranian refugees, demand the right to work for people seeking asylum, keep the spotlight on what’s happening in offshore detention prisons and to call on every politician to speak out

In a crowded field, @AlexanderDowner's take on the SA election has to be one of the dumbest comment pieces I've seen for a while. The bloke has to be the thickest parliamentary superannuation going. But keep on with the "Libs aren't right wing enough" stuff, it's working wonders.

@BernardKeane You’re part of the problem with current democracy. You’re strong on personal abuse but that’s it. I haven’t given any public advice just analysis of why people in SA vote ON. But you know more about my State than I do I guess

What if the leader of the US, who is in effective control of Australia's defence and foreign policy, is clearly unhinged? Would the War Parties here rethink their obsequious obedience to Washington? Because that's the state of play, as this latest Trumpian outburst proves.

@JaneCaro You should live in a bee hive where biogical conformity is mandatory. Most adults realise that other people are capable of having different opinions. The fact you haven't is indicative of a neurostructural disorder. Go live in a termite nest.

@APAN4Palestine Islam isn't a race. Religion is a choice - that's the whole point. You don't represent Palestinians - you're a parasitic organisation that derives funding from being loosely based on the Palestinian 'cause'.

On the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, we are reminded this day is about confronting racism, not softening it. In Australia, Palestinians and their allies are being silenced, restricted, and pushed out of public space. Alongside Muslim and Arab communities, they are facing a growing pattern of discrimination that is being ignored or justified. This is not isolated. It is systemic. If we are serious about eliminating racism, we cannot stay silent when it targets Palestinians. Call it what it is. Reject it. Stand with those refusing to be silenced.
