Had Yohandy Morales on Minors and Majors on @MLBNetworkRadio today. ⚾️ He credits the new Trajekt machines the Nats got at AAA for a lot of his success. ⚾️ He doesn't care if he plays 1B or 3B, whatever it takes to get to bigs. Has started at 1B since House came down. ⚾️ Gave Toboni love for the emphasis he and org puts on development.

Despite the stats, Spencer Jones looked like he was putting together some good ABs. He showed elite EV, Bat Speed, and a decent Walk rate. Not every prospect is going to immediately be a home run as soon as they’re called up. He’ll be back 💯

@DanClarkSports He has more raw power than almost anyone in baseball and he has good speed and defense. He's basically Aaron Judge in 2016 before he found it.

I just do not understand the hype over this 25-year-old. There are countless better and younger players in MLB to get hyped about. If he wasn't with the Yankees, the hype simply wouldn't exist.

So how long is Crews gonna get this essentially now/never stint? Id certainly like Wiemers bat against LHs opposed to a player that rarely ever impacts a game. Not that maximizing wins is really the FOs goal. Crews is basically JY offensively with league average defense.

Personally I would've just DFA'd him and used the 40-man spot on Yohandy Morales. Joey Wiemer in AAA feels redundant when you already have Christian Franklin in Rochester (and Robert Hassell as a left-handed option also)

@MasonHovind_TXR DFG was the one guy I was not happy they traded but regardless they are in a win now mode. They have aging veterans. CY isn’t going anywhere either. I’m not sure why people continue to think that. You get proven guys for unknowns. That’s just the game you play.

As much as y’all want to call the Gore trade a fleece by the Nationals, I’d like to know how that is. None of those guys are making an impact at the big league level yet. Also they could make an impact or they may not. You don’t know. Also I think it’s funny that y’all now care about the prospect we traded when nobody said a word about DFG or Yeremy Cabrera when we had them. Still performed well in our organization.
