@MathewsFiona I find this whole debate (in every sense) academic. I’d reintroduce what you can get away with (or proxies there of) as soon as public tolerance allows. Happy to worry about the chronology of extinctions from my nearest arable field.

The issue of what time point to use as a cut-off is also interesting. Since the last ice age seems reasonable. So that puts bears, wolves and lynx well ahead of bison.

Undeniable that bison are native to UK. Issue is whether you differentiate between steppe bison (B.priscus) and wisent (B.bonasus) or treat them as a chronological grade with evidence of hybridisation.

@AntiEVidiots It’s relatively expensive, car parks are often subject to ASB & you need a reliable off-taker for the power (&DNO connection). It’s not a non-starter, just needs the right circumstances.

This seems like total common sense. Any experts know why it might not be practical? Lots of supermarket car parks in Spain have canopies (yet bizarrely Spain hasn’t embraced EVs yet).
