A good germination of AGT Insurgent Canola. Hopefully gets within 100-200kg/ha of the best TT hybrids to make the cost saving of Open pollinated canola worthwhile. Makes it a cheaper option to hold on to canola seed when our planting area can double in certain years.

Well, Eagle Knievel is no longer with us. Now that he’s deceased and we can take a closer look it’s obvious that he was really, really old. I don’t know how long they live in the wild but this one lived & died in one of the harshest environments in Australia.

VERY INCONVENIENT Dear @BOM_au At risk of sounding negative or abusive, what is this new website you have built? To us and hundreds if not thousands of others its simple - very inconvenient. As a weather page like many others in Australia, and the world for that matter, we provide updates and data from multiple sources, with BoM being one of them. Our aim is to keep our dedicated followers up to date with and severe weather that may impact them, and the data from weather that has impacted them. Many people get their news and for that matter weather information from many sources, however social media has become increasingly popular in this day and age. Below is a list that we have compiled along with some images, along with feedback we have received from others, even though we and others have repeatedly mentioned this via the feedback section of the website over the last year, it very sadly seems to have gone unheard, although you say this website was built on peoples feedback? seems strange. 1. In the Obs page for EVERY location, the extreme obs are not even displayed only the standard 30 min obs. For instance Mount Gellibrand had extreme winds of 100, 100 and 104km/h, where the datalogger obviously forced an out of cycle transmission to collect the extreme winds and display them at 11.47/49/55am WST today the 22nd of October. We found these obs on the old website, yet they are not displayed at all on the new website. Where are they? - very inconvenient 2. The forecast for anywhere cant be saved as a link on a phone tile - very inconvenient. 3.The expanded 7 day forecast for any location its just all words and no real titles, and so spread out you need to scroll down on every day to see the detailed forecast rather than having multiple on a page. Why do we need such a padded out display for this?- very inconvenient. 4. The Obs page is a nightmare to navigate on phone or PC. Why would you make it so you have to scroll across on every region? Its actually beyond us - incredibly inconvenient. 5. Why is the radar such a squashed up image/loop? Sure you can make it full screen but why wouldn't it just be on the main screen like that? Why cant you simply toggle the velocity radar on and off like basically every other radar app/website on the market? You should have taken your cues from apps/websites such as Radarscope, Weatherwatch, Weatherzone etc. - very inconvenient. 6. Rainfall and river heights - navigates you back to the old page - which is great, however what's the point of building a new page if you don't include everything? - very inconvenient. 7. So Meteye is still there? And the significant weather section is available on the new site, however you have to toggle between only fog or thunderstorms rather than have it on on a convenient page. - very inconvenient. 8. Why cant we simply click WA Obs, and you get the Obs? Instead its another 3-4 clicks navigating your way through a combination of Obs, forecasts etc before you can get any valuable data. - very inconvenient. So in closing, almost everything we and others are experiencing with your website is just that, very inconvenient. Fix it.

FBI Director Kash Patel@FBIDirectorKash

New... I can confirm that the FBI arrested a Chinese national within the United States who allegedly smuggled a dangerous biological pathogen into the country. The individual, Yunqing Jian, is alleged to have smuggled a dangerous fungus called "Fusarium graminearum," which is an agroterrorism agent, into the U.S. to research at the University of Michigan, where she works. This fungus can cause a disease called "head blight," a disease of wheat, barley, maize, and rice, causing significant health issues in both humans and livestock. It is responsible for billions of dollars in economic losses worldwide each year. Evidence also indicates Jian had expressed loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party and had received funding from the Chinese government for similar work on this pathogen in China. Jian’s boyfriend, Zunyong Liu — also charged in the complaint — works at a Chinese university where he conducts research on the same pathogen. Liu is alleged to have first lied, then admitted, to also smuggling Fusarium graminearum into America—through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport—so that he too could conduct research the University of Michigan. Both individuals have been charged with conspiracy, smuggling goods into the United States, false statements, and visa fraud. This case is a sobering reminder that the CCP is working around the clock to deploy operatives and researchers to infiltrate American institutions and target our food supply, which would have grave consequences... putting American lives and our economy at serious risk. Your FBI will continue working tirelessly to be on guard against it. Our @FBIDetroit team did excellent work in this case partnering with @CBP. Justice will be done.

Opened it up. Is this page for real? It says the levy was reduced to 1.5% in 2018. But the charts show AWI kept spending at the 2% rate for the past 5 years, burning 100% of cash reserves in the process. Now they are budgeting on a return to 2%? I know nothing about AWI. At all. But have very basic governance training, and this violates all of it. This can't be real, can it?

The Spectator Features Australia Australia’s jihad-supporting government Our most anti-Israel and anti-Jewish administration ever David Adler Getty Images 17 August 2024 Time to acknowledge an uncomfortable truth. The Australian Jewish community was conned by the Labor party prior to the last federal election. We were repeatedly assured that the bipartisan policies concerning Israel and the Jewish community would be honoured by a Labor government. There was to be no practical difference between Labor and the Coalition. It was a lie. Almost immediately after the election a whole series of hostile policy shifts began, and to our shock and dismay this only accelerated after the barbaric Hamas terrorism of 7 October 2023. In a diplomatic sense we now have a jihadist government indirectly supporting the proscribed terrorist organisation Hamas and other enemies over Israel, our long-standing ally and the only democracy in the Middle East which shares our values. Locally, this has encouraged and emboldened radical Hamas supporters and poured fuel on the fires of antisemitism. In case you think that assessment as over the top or too harsh, let’s look at some of Labor’s track record which reads like the rap sheet of a recalcitrant criminal. Jerusalem has never been the capital of a country other than the ancient and now modern state of Israel, yet one of the first actions by Foreign Minister Penny Wong on coming to office was to cancel Australia’s limited recognition of western Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. This highly symbolic change attacks the heart of Israel and Jewish identity and strengthens those who want to take all or some of Jerusalem from Israel. Foreign Minister Wong also changed the official diplomatic terminology to be used by Australia in reference to Gaza, eastern Jerusalem, Judea-Samaria (West Bank) and the Golan Heights from the descriptive ‘disputed territories’ to the highly charged pejorative term ‘occupied territories’. For this she earned the dubious honour of being the first-ever Australian government minister used in Hamas propaganda by mouthpiece Quds News which made memes with her image for their social media. Upon taking office Labor doubled foreign aid to the notorious Hamas-infiltrated United Nations Relief and Works Agency (Unrwa) from $10 million to $20 million and gave a further $6 million after 7 October following a brief pause. As I pointed out in these pages as early as 2018, there is enormous evidence of Unrwa inciting terror through its schools, and its facilities being used by Hamas. Even the Biden administration has not restored such funding. Labor has refused to proscribe as a terrorist organisation the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps despite the recommendation of an Australian Senate committee and numerous other countries having done so, most recently Canada. Pleas from Iranian diaspora are rejected. Australian voting in the UN General Assembly on the numerous anti-Israel resolutions has shifted under Labor and now presents as more hostile to Israel. Then along comes the horrific terrorism of 7 October last year by Hamas in southern Israel. This was Isis-level barbarity with 1,200 people murdered, some following torture or being burned alive, sexual violence, beheadings, and 251 hostages kidnapped. Within hours of the news breaking, while Israeli civilians were suffering the dreadful unrestrained mass terrorism, Penny Wong called for restraint – by Israel! Yes, really. She has since made numerous calls for ceasefire and told Israel not to pursue Hamas in the southern Gaza city of Rafah. Rather than support Israel’s objective to remove Hamas, she has repeatedly supported the Hamas objective of putting the brakes on Israel, In response to aggression from Hezbollah, another proscribed terror organisation and Iran’s proxy on Israel’s northern border, there has been increasing commentary and calls within Israel that there is no choice but to respond and attack Hezbollah forcibly once major military operations in Gaza are concluded. Since 7 October over 7,000 missiles and drones have been fired into Israel by Hezbollah in Lebanon and approximately 80,000 residents from northern communities have evacuated and are internal refugees. But Australia has in effect signaled support for Hezbollah. The Israeli Ambassador to Australia Amir Maimon was called in for a diplomatic dressing down delivered by Assistant Foreign Minister Tim Watts. The Israeli government representative was told that if Israel went to war with Hezbollah, then it could not count on Australian support. Penny Wong has announced that Australia will take lots of refugees from Gaza. This is extremely high risk and jeopardises Australian security. We learn from questioning by Liberal Senators James Paterson and Claire Chandler at Senate Estimates hearings that over 2,500 visas have already been issued. These have often been approved in 24 hours from application, sometimes as quickly as one hour. Surveys show Hamas holds about 70 per cent support from Arab Palestinians and it is inconceivable adequate security screening from an active war zone was possible. There is a reason no surrounding Arab Muslim country would take such refugees, they assess the risks of importing terror as unacceptable. Labor also introduced all-expenses paid scholarships for Arab Palestinians to attend Australian universities. A so-called special pathway is being developed so that Gazan refugees can convert their temporary visas to permanent residency. It was announced in early August that those who have made general statements in support of Hamas would not be excluded. None of this radical policy-shifting is remotely in Australia’s national interest, so what’s going on? Following on from the success of organised Muslim voting blocks in the UK, there have been two apparently similar groups launched in Australia named The Muslim Vote and Muslim Votes Matter. They claim to be well resourced and funded but the financial backing is not disclosed, raising suspicions of foreign interference. Of the 29 federal electorates with a Muslim population of over 5 per cent, 27 are held by Labor. Political analysts consulted by the AJA regard it as unlikely these new political groups will unseat MPs. However, they have clearly spooked some in Labor and an explanation for the radical shifts in our Middle East policies is to shore up and defend these Labor seats. There exists a contest between supporting a democratic ally in Australia’s national interest and prioritising security of our citizens versus trying to defend Labor’s re-election prospects. Instead of moral strength it seems that grubby domestic Labor politics is the winner.

Hey Albo, Let me spell it out for you. Peter O'Brien The Spectator Australia 8 May 2024 Hey Albo, read this! This is something, as Prime Minister, you need to know about. It’s called ministerial responsibility – one of the foundations of our Westminster system of government. Let me spell it out for you. Ministers have the responsibility to oversee executive action within their portfolios. Because government is now so extensive, we can’t expect them to do this on their own, so we furnish them with departments, lavishly endowed with hordes of over-paid bureaucrats, to carry out important work like commissioning studies and so on. We can’t expect the Minister to make every decision, so we allow him to delegate his decision-making responsibility to various underlings. These delegations are accompanied by guidelines that spell out the conditions under which the delegate can exercise his discretion, and when the matter must be referred up the chain, even as far as the Minister, for a final decision. Are you with me so far, Albo? Feel free to ask me to slow down if necessary. Just to be clear, these delegations are made to lighten the Minister’s workload, not to protect him from making a dumb or even a wrong decision. Let me put it another way – and please excuse the intended irony in this particular case – delegating a decision is not a ‘get out of jail free card’ for, e.g., the Minister for Immigration. A public servant is expected to give frank and free advice, but when he makes an administrative decision, he is implementing government policy. That is the policy of his Minister. If a wrong decision is made, the Minister need not get the blame for the decision itself, but he does own its outcome. More often than not, it will be up to him to sort out both the practical and political fallout but, if the matter is minor and easily rectified, he need not suffer any personal retribution. He will probably ‘lose some bark’ as the saying goes, but life will go on. But if a wrong decision, whether made by the Minister or his delegate, has a catastrophic outcome then the doctrine of Ministerial responsibility will demand that the Minister himself suffer some personal consequences. That might be just a public rebuke from you, his putative leader, Albo. But it might be serious enough to call for his resignation, regardless of whether or not the decision was made personally by him. And if he is not willing to resign, you, Albo, may be called upon to show some real leadership and sack him. Which brings me to the case of Mrs Ninette Simons. Her savage beating, allegedly at the hands of a detainee who was excused his ankle bracelet and given bail despite the magistrate’s misgivings, is certainly a serious matter with catastrophic consequences, not the least for Mrs Simons. The specific identity of the alleged attacker is immaterial. Had he been equipped with his ankle bracelet he would immediately have been able to confirm his innocence. And police could have continued their search for the real third perpetrator. A factor in whether or not the Minister gets off Scot-Free from a delegate’s bad decision, hinges on whether or not this was a decision that should have been delegated in the first place. Immigration Minister Giles was given the powers he needed to deal with the fallout from the premature release of over 100 illegal refugees, many of whom had been convicted of serious crimes, including rape and murder. Minister Giles pledged to keep the community safe. You would think that his workload was not so onerous that it would preclude him from taking personal oversight of the management of a mere 150 or so of the more serious offenders. That he would think this such a serious matter that he dare not delegate these cases to an underling. Wouldn’t you think, Albo, that that shows a serious lack of judgement, primarily in keeping his commitment to keeping people safe? Or even, at a level that might resonate more with you, to avoiding unpalatable political fallout? You might argue, Albo, that Minister Giles should be given some latitude in relation to just one error of judgement. And you might have a case there. But Minister Giles has been out to lunch on this whole issue for well over a year as it worked its way through the High Court. His errors of judgment are now legion. Albo, recently you told us that these decisions are made by delegates to ensure their ‘integrity’. The Oxford Dictionary defines integrity, in this context, as: The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. Are you suggesting Minister Giles is incapable of being honest in making such decisions? And finally, Albo, here are some questions you might like to put to Minister Giles. Did the delegate who made this decision depart from the guidelines attached to his delegation? If so, has he been disciplined? And if not, why should you Minister Giles, continue as Minister?
